Retro Sketches, RIC

You are amazing!

Second post today! I have a card to share I made for two challenges.
The first is Runaway Inspired Challenge #14 What a beautiful colour combination?
Love the monochromatic pink with a dash of green.
And Second is this awesome sketch by N@ from Retro Sketches #16
I picked the colours from the RIC challenge and used the sketch to make my card. I love N@’s original card a lot. Totally freaky awesome card. Mine is no where close to N@’s card. I have tried my best though as I really wanted to do this sketch 🙂
Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampers Select White from PTI. Pink Passion, Rich Razzeleberry and Lucky Lemonade from SU
Stamp Set: a complementary set from MFT. Misc stamp sets found on my craft table at the time of stamping lol!
Accessories: Tiny Tags dies from papertrey Ink, Scallop impression plate from Taylored Expression, Rinestones from Kaisercraft and white thread.
I have used Tiny Tags diecut in three different colours, stamped a few, embossed a few, added thread and rhinestones 🙂 I like how it turned out and hope you do too.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

ColourQ, Wplus9

ColourQ Colour Queen!

This is a total surprise to me but a totally sweet one. I went to check ColourQ’s latest colour challenge and as I scrolled down I saw my card picked as the Colour Queen for the previous challenge (mouth wide open and eyes nearly poping out!!!) What???? I will tell you why?
I loved the colours straightaway but had great difficulty getting them to work for me. I had started on a no carb diet. I was hungry and dizzy although I was eating protein. You know how the first fews days are when you start on a diet. So no mojo at all. I would have stamped various designs on a full A4 cardstock and was not happy with what I had done.Into the bin! I saw Wplus9 Damask Doilies stamp set which I had not used and thats it! I decided I will make this stamp work for me. So thats is why I was all surprised lol! Thank you so much for picking my card, ColourQ Team! Given me my mojo back and I get to wear this badge proudly:)
Thanks for sharing my excitment.
See you soon with more projects:)

Ok, we am on a tea break. Hubby and kids are also helping out. If we don’t get back to doing things now, my house will look so messy and I have to clean it all by myself. See you soon this evening once again with The Craft’s Meow projects:)

CAS- usual Friday Challenge

CAS-ual Fridays #57

Hello everybody,
This week’s challenge is a awesome one.
cfc57
CFC57: Create a Clean And Simple project using acetate or vellum

This week’s challenge is by Karolyn  Loncon.
She has designed some awesome stamps for Paper Smooches.
and this week’s winner will receive her entire collection!
Here is my take on the challenge.
Supplies:
Cardstock: Clear cardstock and Stampers Select White from Papertrey Ink
Stamp Sets: Grid background stap from Market Street Stamp. Love Birds from Wplus9
Inks: Stazon Black Ink and Basic Grey from SU
Accessories: Rhinestones from Kaisercraft
I have stamped the grid pattern on the white cardstock masking the top and bottom a bit using Basic Gray ink. Using Stazon black ink, I stamped the bird, branch and senitment on the clear cardstock. I then basically layered the clear cardstock over the white. I used glue dot on the back of the bird to adhere the clear cardstock to the white so that they stay together 🙂
I love the simple design and hope you do too 🙂
If you like to play along the challenge then head over to CAS-ual Friday Challenge blog for more inspiration and details.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great Friday and weekend 🙂
