I started with die cutting some masking paper using the dog die from Cute Baby Animals Stamp and Cut from Hero Arts. I adhered these masking paper die cuts randomly on a white cardstock panel making sure I burnish and smoothen the edges. Then I sponged Tumbled Glass distress ink over the entire cardstock panel. Once the distress ink was dry, I removed all the masking paper die cuts. This left me with dog shaped spots on which I stamped the dog image also from the Cute Baby Animals stamp and cut from Hero Arts. I used versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp the dog images. Black ink gave me a nice contrast against the blue. I filled in the gaps by stamping the sentiment “you” and the heart shape also from the same stamp set. With the dog images, I was on the fence on whether to colour or nor to colour. I ended up colouring not the entire image but certain bits of it with neutral colours.//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
For the focal point, I die cut three “Happy” from Happy stamp and cut from Hero Arts. I stacked and glued them. I stamped the smaller sentiment from the same stamp set on a strip of white cardstock, trimmed fish tail ends. I adhered the sentiments on a vellum circle which is framed with a black circular frame. Finally, embellishing with Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh brought the card together.//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

Positive and Negative!
I am over at A blog Named Hero!
Guest Designing for Simon Says Stamp Blog.
You are amazing!
I have another Taylored Expressions card to share with you today.
For the focal point, I stamped two large daisies and one small daisy first with Angel Pink Memento ink and when dry, I stamped the second layer with Rose Bud Memento Ink. I die cut these daisies using the coordinating Simply Stamped – Daisies dies. For the leaves, I used Pear Tart Memento ink for the base and Pistachio Memento ink for the veins. I die cut the leaves using the coordinating dies as well.
Mr.& Mrs.!
A quick post today sharing a anniversary card using Penny Black products.

To start with, I only wanted to white heat emboss the sentiment on the back cardstock strip and adhered as shown. But then I had a light bulb moment and stamped the Mr. & Mrs. next to the watercoloured image splitting the sentiment with “&” inside the cage. I was pretty pleased with it 🙂 The sentiment is from You and Me stamp set from Penny Black,
I then added some 6mm and 4mm Pretty Pink Posh Onyx sequins to tie in the black from the sentiment strip together. Finally brush some shimmer on the flowers and birds using Sakura clear shimmer pen. and added glossy accent to the centre of the flowers and centre of the cage where I stamped the “&”.
Simon Says Back to School!
I have used My Mind’s Eye School Daze 6 x 6 paper pad to make my card. I used the pencils pattern paper from the paper pad as my background. Then layered the busy background with a smaller panel of vellum. For the focal point, I stamped the note pad and pencil from Clearly Besotted Teacher’s Pet stamp set, coloured the pencil with copic markers then cut them both out. I layered the stamped note pad over vellum, then the sentiment cut out from the School daze paper pad and finally the pencil. Simple and easy to make. No technique. I just wanted My Mind’s Eye School Daze papers to shine. Here is a closeup of the card.

Runway Inspired Challenge #90

The flowers are from Blooming Garden stamp set also from Penny Black. I stamped them in black ink and copic coloured the flowers and leaves picking colours from the floral pattern on the dress. I then cut the flowers out and layered and glued them over the yellow lace. The sentiment is from Happy Notes stamp set also from Penny Black. I stamped using black ink on a strip of white cardstock and adhered using foam adhesives. Finally embellished with Sparkly Clear sequins.
Lots of white space with yellow lace and a cluster floral focal element. Pretty happy with how this card turned out. Now it is your turn to play the challenge. I cannot wait to see what you do. 🙂
