Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peek Day #3

Hello and welcome back!

Taylored Expressions October New release has started! Woohoo! Today, I am excited to share  new sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions October new release with you.

Today I am sharing a card using my favourite Grumplings stamp set. This one is called Holiday Grumplings. And the stamp set comes with coordinating dies are well. Yay! I love coordinating dies especially for outline images which can be coloured. Here is stamp set and dies for you.

How cute are these Holiday Grumplings? I LOVE these cuties. A big fan of Grumplings of course 🙂 This is my card using these cuties
I started my card with stamping and colouring the Holiday Grumplings with copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. On a white cardstock panel trimmed to the size of card front, I placed the grumplings randomly at different angles as a guide to stamp the sentiments from the Holiday Grumpling stamp set. Again I stamped the sentiments at various angles to give the random effect. I then adhered the adhered the die cut Grumplings using liquid glue (glossy accent). To fill in the gaps, I used the snow flakes sequins from Build A Scene: Christmas sequins also from the October release. I trimmed off the excess hanging out of the panel using scissors. The main sentiment is from In & Out Christmas stamp set also a new set to be released on Thursday. I stamped this sentiment on vellum using Versafine Black ink and clear embossed the sentiment. I then trimmed the vellum, wrapped it around the background panel and secured it at the back with some tacky tape. This panel is then adhered on to a Cherry Top card base. I accented the sentiment on the vellum with some sequins from Build A Scene: Christmas sequins.
Taylored Expression is celebrating the release week with some fabulous prizes.

I have started making Christmas cards and so any chance I get I make one. So for this challenge, I  have made a Christmas card using Clearly Besotted stamp sets and dies.

Anything goes CB//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I am liking using grey cardstock as background. So for this card, I have picked  Fog cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I then white heat embossed the images from Cute Christmas Character stamp set which is an exclusive stamp set and die for Simon Says Stamp 2014 STAMPtember , on a watercolour paper and watercoloured the images. Then die cut the images using the coordinating dies. I adhered these images randomly  on the grey cardstock panel trimmed to the size of the card front. I stamped the smaller images from the stamp set to fill in the gaps. This is my background.

For the focal point I simply black heat embossed the subway sentiment from Most Wonderful Stamp set from Clearly Besotted stamp set on vellum heavy weight cardstock and adhered on the card front using foam adhesives behind the arrows. Finally embellishing with Cranberry sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Publication! Woot! Woot!

Good morning!
A quick post this morning sharing a woot woot! The new Christmas Edition of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft is now released.

I have two set of Christmas cards published in the magazine. I wanted to share with you one of my cards from a set of two today.

Penny Black publication card
This is one of the cards using Penny Black cling stamp set called Festive Floral stamp set and Red Star stamp set for sentiment. The base of the card is acetate with the focal panel using chalkboard technique. I gold embossed the focal image and embellished the berries with Pretty Pink Posh metallic red sequins. The sentiment is heat embossed in white. Then I sponged some white pigment ink randomly to give the used chalkboard effect. Simple card with an unusual base and a technique.

You can check out the second card in this set and the other set of Christmas cards in the magazine. The Vol 22, No 2 is now available to subscribe or for purchase from all the supermarkets and news agencies across Australia and New Zealand 🙂

Thanks for stopping by this morning. I have couple of more post later this evening. So don’t forget to stop by again today 🙂

Simon Says Stamp – October Card Kit card #2

Hello and good morning everyone!

I have quick post to share today. I have so much to catch up on with regards to DT work.
I have another card to share using Simon Says Stamp October card kit.

Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month October 2015 HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU CKOct15 zoom image

Here is my second card. My first card is HERE

The base is black cardstock which comes in the card kit. I layered the journalling cards from the card kit in random fashion. I adhered then at the centre so I can curl the edges. I then adhered the gold ampersand also from one of the journalling card on the top towards the right bottom. I then die cut the hello die from the card kit using scrap pieces of cream cardstock and one using the yellow from the journalling card. Then stacked glue them with the yellow die cut on top of the stack. I colour coordinated picked colours from the journalling cards. I adhered this dimensional hello on the top left of the ampersand. The smaller sentiment is from the stamp set in the card kit which I stamped on a thin strip of the card cream cardstock in the kit, trimmed fish tail and adhered to the right bottom of the ampersand using foam adhesives. Then I added the gold chevron arrows from the journalling card randomly as shown on the card. Finally brought the card together using the Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Orchid sequins. Here is a closeup of the card. I love the contrast on the card. Hope you like the card too.

Here is my take on the challenge.

//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.jsThinking of you//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I will be honest with you. I am not big on pattern/designer papers on my card. I used them sparingly. So this challenge was easy for me. Since I design for Taylored Expressions, I decided to use their beautiful dies to showcase on my card. I started with sponging Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean on the centre of the card front. Then I die cut two frames using Frame in Frame die set – one rectangle frame for the outer edge of the card front and one curved design smaller frame to frame the focal point. The outer frame is adhered using foam to give it dimension and  the inner frame is glued on the card front flush.

thinking of you closeup 1//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

For the focal point, I have used Scribbled Flowers die set. I watercoloured the base of the flowers and leaves using Peerless watercolour. The scribbled layer is just white cardstock. I have clustered the flowers and leaves and adhered a flowers using foam and leaves glued down. The sentiment is from One and Only You stamp set and die. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of cardstock and rest of the sentiment is die cut using gold foil cardstock. Finally adhered Pretty Pink Posh Sparkly Clear and Onyx sequins to complete the card.

Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit!

Good morning everyone,
Guess what? I have a card to share today using the Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit
Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month October 2015 HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU CKOct15 zoom image
This kit is so colourful, and glitzy. The stamp set is fab by itself and the My Mind’s Eye pattern papers and journalling card from Story Collection are beautifully bright and bold. Love the gold foiling on the pattern papers and journalling card. If you like to see a video of the kit, check out Shari’s video HERE.

I could not wait to make card the moment I received the kit in the mail.
I love the pattern paper full of glasses/spectacles with random gold foil ones. I adhered the paper on the card base toward the bottom. I trimmed the cream cardstock that came in the kit for my focal point. I started with stamping the glasses/spectacles image from the stamp set in the kit in Simon Says Stamp Duckling ink. Then I stamped the sentiment in Versamark Black ink on top of the glasses and decided to emboss using clear embossing powder. I picked the colours from the pattern paper. So stamped the speech bubbles from the stamp set in Stone Simon Says Stamp Ink and sentiment ‘hello’ in Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink. The other speech bubble in Doll Pink as well. I hand cut them out and layered them using foam adhesives. Similarly, I stamped the ampersand from the stamp set in Stone ink cut it out and the smaller sentiment I stamped using Doll Pink ink on a strip of cream cardstock. I layered and glued them using foam balancing them by placing them on the bottom right while the speech bubbles are on the top left. Finally used Pretty Pink PoshOrchid, Lemon Drop and Charcoal sequins to bring the card together.

STAMPtember Exclusive – Pretty Pink Posh stamp set!

Hooray! I received the new STAMPtember exclusive Pretty Pink Posh stamp set and die called Darling Friends. This is such an adorable stamp and die set. I absolutely love it because I can use this set with many of Pretty Pink Posh dies. Don’t you love that?
Today I have card to share using this new Darling Friends stamp set.
This card is special in the sense that I have used Pretty Pink Posh products except the white cardstock and colouring medium to make this card. I started with die cutting some scrap printer paper using the scalloped border die from Stitched Border 2 die set. I used the negative of the die cut to temporarily adhered  them on a white card panel and sponged Tumbled Glass distress inks. I repeated this process randomly to cover the entire panel. I then used the stitched straight border die from the same set to trim the ends of the panel and also get the stitched edges on the panel. The clouds make my background panel.

Sweet friend closeup//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

Then I stamped and coloured the hot air balloon and the kitty from the Darling Friends stamp set. I coloured the hot air balloon in rainbow colours to the balloon pops right out of the clouds. I adhered the kitty on the basket using foam adhesive and adhered the balloon on the centre of the clouds background panel using foam adhesives. Then the panel on the card base using foam adhesives again. Love the dimension on the card.

Sweet friend flat//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

The sentiment from the stamp set is simply stamped on two strips of white cardstock and adhered on the bottom of the balloon. Finally embellished with Onyx black 6mm and 4mm sequins.

I absoloutely adore this stamp set and will share another card soon using this stamp set and Pretty Pink Posh dies. I have all the products I used to make my card below.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Simon Says Stamp September Card kit cards

Hey everyone,
I received the fun and fab September Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp on Friday. I must admit this is my favourite card kit so far. LOVE the Pink Fresh Studio pattern papers and acetate overlay in the kit. So fun, fab and trendy. I was inspired by the design and colours that I made time today to make cards using the kit.
September-2015-Card-Kit-600
I made a set of five cards using the kit. So make yourself a cuppa and enjoy my post because I have lots of photos. Here they are
I absolutely love the Pink Fresh Studio pattern papers as you can see. For most cards, I did not even stamp anything. On some cards, I heat embossed the sentiments and paper pieced the balloons. I have used enamel dots in coordinating to embellish. These cards will be perfect as a gift to a teen girl on her birthday or for any occasion. Here are all the cards together.
Hope you like my card set.
