Kinnari from Pinkfresh Studio generously provided us designers with gorgeous products from the Felicity collection. Thank you so much for your generosity, Kinnari! I love the collection. Fact is I love all your collection. They are so trendy and fab.

I loved how the Felicity collection coordinates with many of Winnie & Walter’s products. I got carried away and made four cards. So make yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy!

Happy card//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

First up is a happy card. I showcased the beautiful pattern paper and die cut from Felicity collection on this card. I incorporated In a Word: Happy die from Winnie & Walter in this card. Best of all I love the puffy sequins. So cute.

Happy card closeup#1//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js            Next, a similar concept card using different pattern paper and puffy stickers from Felicity collection paired with Winnie & Walter’s Cutaway – The Big, the Bold and Seasons!

Spring card #2//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
I absolutely love love this pattern paper. It has spring written all over it with a very trendy and cool look to it. So fab! I used the die cuts and the wood veneer hearts from the Felicity collection on the card. The sentiment is a mix of die cut from Winnie & Walter and Felicity Collection.

The third card is a layered card using the house elements from the Felicity Collection paired with the house from This Awesome House stamp set and In a Word: Home Cutaway from Winnie & Walter.

Home Sweet Home card #2//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I showcased the beautiful pattern paper with houses for the background, layered with white heat embossed large house from Winnie & Walter’s This Awesome House stamp set on vellum, layered with the houses die cut from Felicity Collection, then layered with In a Word: Home Cutaway die cut using pattern paper and finally layered with Home Sweet Home sentiment die cut from Felicity Collection. I embellished the card with puffy flower stickers and puffy sequins

Home Sweet Home closeup//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

And finally, another layered card using similar concept.

Happy Spring card

For this card, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the stamp set from Felicity Collection to make my second layer pattern paper. I die cut the pattern paper and stamped paper layer using the rectangle dies from Essentials: Katharine Cutaway. The vellum tag is die cut using the tag from the same Cutaway set. I then layered the vellum with die cuts from Felicity die cut pack, followed by In a Word: happy die cut with sentiment die cut on top. I also added a few puffy sequins and puffy elements to bring the card together.

Happy Spring closeup//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I thoroughly enjoyed playing with both Pinkfresh Studio’s Felicity Collection and loved how the collection  coordinated with Winnie & Walter’s products so well. And all of these cards are totally out of my zone. Best part is I am so thrilled how they turned out. Hope you like them too.

We are showcasing Ranger Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I have used the Distress Stain Weathered Wood  on the background by rubbing the stain directly on paper to get the brush strokes effect. Then I used Layering Stencil Speckle and white embossing paste to add white spatter with texture to the background.
For the focal point, I have used Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves die to die cut the leaves using vellum cardstock. The flowers are from Tim Holtz called Garden Flower #4. I black heat embossed on watercoloured paper and coloured using Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry distress inks. I hand cut them out and clustered them on top of the leaves using foam adhesives. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Texting stamp set which I stamped in black ink, cut out and adhered using foam adhesives as well. I embellished using Pink Blush sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Simon Says Stamp April card kit – Card #1

Hello everyone,

So good to be back blogging again. Hope everyone had a great Easter break. I am sharing with you my first card using Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit!

April-2016-CK-600x487

Love that this kit has not just beautiful pattern papers but also stickers and embellishment from Simple Stories. For my card today, I decided to use the stickers only.

I have used the white cardstock from the kit as my card base. Then I used the big hello sticker from the sticker sheet set also from the kit as my focal point. To frame the focal point, I used the flower stickers, heart stickers and the sentiment stickers also from the sheet. I popped a few of them using foam adhesives and adhered a few straight to the card front. Then I used Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to add some bling and bring the elements together. Simple card using the stickers and no stamping yet making a big impact by keeping lots of white space.
This card kit is available for purchase from Simon Says Stamp store. If you like to subscribe to the kits, here is the link. If you like more inspirations using this kit, here is the link to the gallery.

I have taken the abstract interpretation of  the challenge theme and made a card to give someone very special during difficult times. I have used the flower bouquet from Avery Elle’s  Get Well stamp set as my focal point. On the background, I used Simon Says Stamp stencil called Ledger Drops and sponged Tumbled Glass  and Salty Ocean distress inks fading towards the edges of the card front.

You matter very much closeup//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I die cut the flower bouquet image using Stitched Rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp and adhered to the centre of the card front using foam adhesives. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Friendly Flowers stamp set which I simply stamped on a strip of cardstock and trimmed at an angle. Finally added Raspberry sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to bring in a bit more of that pink colour from the flowers. I also brushed the flowers with clear shimmer.

Feeling under the weather? – A Penny Black card!

Hello dear friends,
I  have a get well card to share today. I played with the cling stamp set called Feel Well.
feel well picture
I LOVE this umbrella and all the doodling on it. So I black heat embossed the image and watercoloured using Zig Markers. Here is my card.
I then cut out the watercoloured  umbrella. On another card panel, I smooshed some Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio distress inks. Then spattered some glitter on it. When dry, I black heat embossed the umbrella and the sentiment on the smooshed panel. Then I layered and foam adhered the cut out watercoloured umbrella on top of the heat embossed image. I covered the umbrella with clear shimmer.

Under the weather closeup

I used my favourite Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh on the card. They are perfect for this card. I adhered the finished panel on yellow card base and rounded the bottom corners.

Hope you like my card. It is a bit colourful and shimmery for a get well card but the whole idea of the card is to cheer up the person, right? So why not make it colourful and shimmery 🙂

I have used Simon Says Stamp Melody’s Easter and Springtime Critters stamp sets on my card. I have masked and stamped the images with Antique Linen ink to create a scene and tried to do lineless watercolouring using Zig pens.  Then I stamped the sentiment from Melody’s Easter stampset with black ink and embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins. Here are some close up photos of the finished card:

Taylored Expressions

Shaker baby cards!

Hey everyone,
Sharing with you couple of baby shaker cards I made using Taylored Expressions newly released dies. Both the cards are similar in layout except one is a boy baby card and the other is the girl version of the same card. Here they are.
For both the cards, I have used Welcome Baby Banner dies and Baby Bottle Shaker die.

Welcome Baby BannerBaby Bottle Shaker

Along with Double the Joy 6×6 paper pack.

TE 6x6 Paper Pack - Double the Joy

I used the onesie pattern paper as the background for both the cards. I trimmed and adhered them on to Cookie Monster and Pink Champagne card bases. Then a layer of vellum die cut using one of the Stitched Rectangle die from Stitched rectangle Stacklets. The shaker bottle has the inside die cut using the chevron stripes pattern paper and filled in with sequins from Hello Happiness and Build a Scene collection.  I die cut the Welcome Baby banners using white glitter paper and adhered on the top of the card front. Simple with fun shaker element baby cards. Here are some closeups!

Pretty Pink Posh March Release Blog Hop!

You should have come here from Nina-Marie Trapani‘s blog for the hop. But if this is your first stop, don’t worry, I will list all the participants of the blog hop towards the end of the post for you to hop 🙂

I am very excited to share with you couple of cards using the newly released stamp sets and dies from Pretty Pink Posh. I know the Birdie Notes stamp set is one of the favourite set from last release inspite of it being a free set with your order over $60. Now not only is this stamp set available for purchase, there is also another new full size birdie stamp set called Birdie Friends. Love that Birdie Friends has coordinating die set too. I had a great time colouring these cute birdies from the stamp set. They just make me feel so happy. Here is my first card.

I made a shaker card using Bridie Friends stamp set and also the Pretty Pink Posh exclusive Scallop Circle die set.  I started with smooshing Abandoned Coral distress ink on watercolour panel and letting it air dry. I love the effect of  air dried watercolour because the colour soak into the fibre, travels and dries slowly giving beautiful light and dark shades as well as hard and soft edges. I also spattered some gold colorshine on the panel later after the watercolour dries.
In the mean time, I die cut the smaller scallop circle using gold glitter paper, adhered acetate sheet on the back of the circle die cut. Then stamped the three birdies as well as the banner and watercoloured them. I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I stamped the sentiment inside the banner. To make the shaker element, I adhered the birdies and banner on to the top centre of the watercoloured panel, added iridescent mini heart confetti to the centre and adhered the gold glitter scallop circle die cut which I  prepared earlier using foam adhesives over the birdies and banner. There is no white backing panel on the shaker element. This shows the beautiful colour wash done on the background through the shaker box. I used Metallic Gold 6mm and 4mm sequins to embellish.
For my second card, I did a lot of watercolour smooshing technique.
Sending Hugs card//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

On a watercolour paper, I smooshed Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon distress ink on top of the panel and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn towards the bottom. I did one colour at a time, making sure I dried the colour before proceeding to the next colour. This will give layers of colour and more depth than the solid look. I then used the smaller Window Frame from the Window Frames dies to die cut at the centre of the panel. I love the stitching detail on the outside. The idea was to have the sky, landscape and sun at the centre. So when I inlaid the die cut back in place, I used another piece which I smooshed with Mustard Seed and Fosslized Amber distress ink. This not only gave me sun effect I was looking for but also a focal point on which I added the birdies and other accessories.
The Birdies, branch, leaves, nest and eggs were black heat embossed on watercolour paper, coloured with Zig Clean Brush Pens and die cut using the coordinating dies. I clustered them and adhered some flush and some with foam adhesives. The sentiment also from Birdie Friends stamp set is black heat embossed on Stitched Label 1 die smooshed with Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks.  Just to tie in all the black colours, I added Onyx 6mm and 4mm sequins. Finally I gave the die cut elements and the background except the sun a generous quote of clear shimmer. Gorgeous shimmer 🙂

This is my take on the challenge using Delightful Day  Stamp Set from Clearly Besotted Stamp set!
I white heat embossed the bouquet of roses from the stamp set and watercoloured using Zig clean brush pens. I also added some red glitter using Spectrum Aqua glitter pen. To keep with the theme of the challenge, I added green colour wash around the bouquet. The sentiment is heat embossed using Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I die cut this panel using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die, wrapped natural twine around the panel and layered with another stitched panel die cut using pattern paper. Finally embellished with Pretty Pink Posh’s Espresso sequins. I mounted the layered panels on kraft card base.  I love green and kraft colours together. Give a very earthy and organic feel to it.

Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit – Card set #2

Hey everyone,
I have two more cards I made using Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit!
Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month MARCH 2016 FAVORITE PEEPS CK316 zoom image
I used just the stamp set to make these two cards. So the stamp set along can go a long way. Then there are the pattern papers, cardstock, watercolour panel and embellishments in the card kit. That is great value for the card kit. With out any further delay, here are my two cards. Both the cards have similar layouts but different techniques to it.
For the first card, I have used watercolour technique. I white heat embossed the outline peeps images from the stamp set on Tim Holtz distress watercolour paper. Then I watercoloured the peeps using Zig watercolour clean brush pens. Once dry, I die cut a stitched rectangle panel using Stitched Rectangle die set from Simon Says Stamp. Adhered this panel on Fog card base using foam adhesives for give dimension. As for the sentiment, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set on black cardstock strip and adhered using foam adhesives. Embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets.
And for the second card, I used the solid peeps image from the stamp set and stamped on white cardstock for the background.

Peeps offerings card #1//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
I have used Duckling, Sea Glass and Twirling Tutu ink from Simon Says Stamp to stamp the background. I added the face and bows from some of the big peeps using Grey ink. Then again die cut a stitched panel using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die set. Adhered this panel on white card base using foam adhesives. Once again the sentiment is white heat embossed on black card stock strip and adhered using foam adhesives. Finally used Sparkly Clear sequins mix from Pretty Pink Posh.

Hope you like both the cards. This month’s card kit is out of stock. Simon Says Stamp card kit is awesome and great value for money. If you do not want to miss out, then you can subscribe the kit. Here is the link to the subscription.
