I went to town with this challenge. I made three cards.
Here they are: Card #1
SSS altenew card//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

Instructions:

1. Card Base is white cardstock.

2. On a card panel, I sponged Cracked Pistachio and Spun Sugar distress inks on the edges.

3. I used various Simon Says Stamp stencils to layer over the sponged edges and sponged Abandoned Coral and Peacock Feathers distress inks. This adds layer and interest on the background.

4. I stamped the images from Altenew’s Wild Hibiscus stamp set all around the panel.

5. The sentiment Hey Love die from Simon Says Stamp Hey Love collection, die cut using black cardstock, stacked and glued and adhered on the centre of the panel.

6. The completed panel is adhered to the cardfront and embellished with Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

Here is a closeup of the card.

The possibilities are almost endless! We will be looking forward to seeing what technique you use to create your project!

I have two cards to share for this challenge. When I started planning my card for the challenge, I wanted to use white as my card base. After making the first card, I was curious to know how a similar layout will look on Fog cardstock. So I made another. Here is the first card using white card base.

This is an one layer card. I die cut an oval out of masking paper. Adhered the mask vertically on a white card front and stamped the images from Beautiful Day and Peony Bouquet stamp sets from Altenew. I stamped half the image on the mask and half on the cardstock. I over lapped a few. I used the layering images to stamp with coloured inks such as Forest Glades and Dusk Altenew inks. Some of the images I just stamped in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I stamped all around the oval mask.

I removed the mask to reveal the white oval space where I have stamped my sentiment. The sentiment is from Birthday Greetings stamp set from Altenew.  Finally embellished with Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I absolutely love the green, blue and black colour combination.

Happy Birthday closeuphttps://embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

Now I did similar process on Fog cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.

Beautiful Day #1https://embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

This time I adhered the oval mask horizontally on the card front and stamped the images from the same two stamp sets from Altenew using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. This time I stamped a few layering images with Altenew Dusk and Forest Glades inks and rest of the images I coloured with copic markers. I did some messy copic colouring not covering the entire images but just shading certain areas of images.

Beautiful day flathttps://embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I then removed the mask and stamped the sentiment inside the masked area. The sentiments are from Beautiful Day and Birthday Greetings stamp sets from Altenew. Again I embellished with Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

So now it’s YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Altenew, Video

Hello! An Altenew card and a video!

Hello everyone!
It is new year eve right now for me! Getting ready for an Italian dinner and fireworks. Before that, I wanted to share my new card using Altenew Stamp Set and dies. I also made a video of the card. But first here is the card.
Hello card #1//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I stamped Altenew’s Halftone Hello in black, then masked the stamped sentiment using the mask di cut using coordinating die. Then I stamped the cluster of flowers and leaves from Altenew Vintage Roses stamp set. I then removed the mask to reveal the stamped sentiment. Love how the sentiment pops right out of the flower and leaves cluster. I then trimmed the panel, adhered foam behind the panel. On the card base, I adhered the woodgrain pattern paper from My Mind’s Eye, then the stamped panel. Finally embellished with Pretty Pink Posh’s Metallic Gold 6mm and 4mm sequins. I love to add some gold on my cards 🙂

And here is the video of how I made the card. You can also watch my video on my You Tube Channel in HD.
Hope you like my video. I also made two more similar cards. So now I have a set of three cards to pack and gift a special person.

Hello card #3//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

Hello card #2//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

And here are all the three cards together.

Hello cards//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

LOVE the colours against the white background with woodgrain pattern paper and gold sequins as accents. Hope you like them too. I am entering this video for Altenew’s Video Challenge #3!
Wishing all my dear friends and visitors of my blog

Wonderful and Happy New Year 2016!

Runway Inspired Challenge #97

Hello dear friends,

Welcome to the new Runway Inspired Challenge #97.

What a brightly coloured outfit? I am a bright girl and I love this dress especially the orange lace border. Love the colour combination of ink blue and bright orange. Here is my card for the challenge.
Hello Birthday Girl card//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

This challenge is sponsored by Altenew. Tasnim and Jen were generous to provide us design team with discount to buy their gorgeous designs.Thank you very much to both of you. Love you both 🙂

I chose to use the colours together and the concept of lace like orange border on my card. The stamp set I have used for my orange lace border is called Wild Hibiscus. I love this stamp set for its shading on the image. Just awesome. I stamped the flowers all around the white panel. Then I stamp few flowers on scrap cardstock, cut them out and layered over the stamp image on the card panel.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Half tone Hello using Blue Violet Simon Says Stamp ink, then die cut using the coordinating die. The additional sentiment is stamped on a strip of white cardstock using Orange Soda Hero Arts ink and adhered using foam adhesives. The panel is adhered on an ink blue card base. Finally embellished with Cobalt sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
I used Doctor’s Rule stamp set from Altenew to make my card. I love this set but have not used it since I bought it. It has been months sitting in my storage box. So I decided to tackle it for this challenge. I stamped the heart from the stamp set using Light to Dark Peach Hero Arts Ombre ink, then the heart shape is stamped over the heart image using Simon Says Stamp Teeny Bikini ink. I filled the space by stamping the sentiment in black to give contrast.

For the focal point, I black heat embossed the stethoscope  heart rate image on vellum panel, then added the sentiment stamp on strips of cardstock and adhered using foam adhesive. I also added the fuzzy cut stamped heart shape. Finished off with Gold 6mm and 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Here is a closeup.//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

Runway Inspired Challenge #95

Hello and welcome to a new Runway Inspired Challenge #95
This challenge is this pretty dress from Marchesa Notte!

Love the ink blue background with pop of pretty pink and the bold pink shoes. I am taking the colours from this outfit as my inspiration for my card.

Just saying Hello!//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I have used Altenew’s Golden Garden stamp set to stamp and make my background. I used Doll Pink and Blue Violet inks from Simon Says Stamp. I LOVE the two colours together. Bright and beautiful with a lot of white. Then I layered a piece of vellum. The sentiment is from Super Script stamp set also from Altenew. I stamped the large sentiment and hand cut it out. The smaller sentiment is stamped on a strip of white cardstock. I popped them both using foam adhesives. Finally embellishing with Pretty Pink Posh’s Pink Peonies sequins. Here is a closeup!

Pretty Pink Posh and Altenew Collaboration Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh and Altenew Collaboration Blog Hop!

I love collaboration blog hops! They give me the opportunity to showcase products from some of my favourite companies. Altenew is one of my favourite companies and so is Pretty Pink Posh, otherwise I wouldn’t be working as one of their design team member, right?  Okay, without any further delay, here is my card, made using some of my favourite Pretty Pink Posh and Altenew products.

Just for you card//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I started with the new Royal Garden Mix sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as my colour inspiration. I love the pinks, brown, burgundy, green and gold combination in the mix, because are bold, rich and beautiful. Love them. With those colours in mind, I stamped the flowers from the new Golden Garden Altenew stamp set on a white card front.

Just for you closeup//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

For the focal point, I die-cut the new Decorative Tag 1 Die from Pretty Pink Posh using gold cardstock and made a shaker element with the Royal Garden Mix sequins inside. I adhered this shaker tag on the centre of the card front. Then I stamped and gold heat embossed a few leaves and a flower and also just stamped few leaves and flower using coloured inks on coloured cardstock. I hand-cut them out and cluster glued them on the shaker tag element on the card front. The sentiment is from Altenew’s Label Love stamped in gold ink

Just for yo card flat!//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I really love the colours on my card, especially the gold accent in the decorative tag die, the gold embossing and the gold sequins in the mix. Just beautiful. Hope you like it!

Your next stop is the gorgeous and talented Anna Kossakovskaya‘s blog. If this is your first stop, then here is the list of all the design team member from both companies participating in the blog hop.

Runway Inspired Challenge #93

Second post for today. Here is my first post.

Welcome to a new Runway Inspired Challenge – Emilio De La Morena!

source:  style.com

The skirt reminded me of brush strokes stamp set which were hot some time ago. I have a few of them and decided to find them and use it. Here is my take on the challenge.

I picked the colours from the skirt to ink and layer stamp them. I did a white panel and it looked fab! I trimmed the panel at an angle to adhered on the bottom of the card front. I added a black glitter strip of paper as border. Stamped the sentiment at the angle. To tie in with the brush strokes, I added a few spatter in blue and a brush stroke in red on the top of the card front. Finally embellished with sparkly black enamel dots. Here is a closeup!

Woot! Woot!

Hello everyone,
I am a big woot woot to share with you today. The annual edition of Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft is now available to purchase. This edition is jam packed with so many inspirations and tutorials. It is a must have in my opinion.
I am truly blessed to be on the cover of the magazine with this Father’s day card.
I am pretty proud of this card and was a bit restless waiting for so long to share with you. I did share a picture or two of the making of the card long time ago in my Instagram. But I am very thrilled with how this card turned out.
I have used Altenew’s To the Moon stamp set on my card, sponged the night sky background using distress inks. The sentiments were from two stamp sets – Altenew’s To the Moon and Parentville from Winnie & Walter.
Apart from this card, I have a double page 1 die 4 ways feature showcasing four different ways to feature a die. Also a tutorial on Watercoloured die cuts.

If you like to subscribe, click here! The magazine is available to purchase at news agents and supermarkets.

Thanks for sharing my excitement!

Runway Inspired Challenge #88

Afternoon everyone!

It is time for new Runway Inspired Challenge #88. Are you ready?

source: style.com

Very typical Missoni outfit. Zigzag/chevron pattern is his trade mark. Intially, I wanted to use chevron stamp set or dies on my card but them I decided to against it. I wanted to use the colours from the outfit and a pattern on the background instead. Here is my take on the challenge.

For the background, I die cut this fishnet pattern using MFT’s Fishnet Cover plate die. I then randomly trimmed off the edges as I wanted an uneven background. I adhered this on the white card base by applying glue to only a few places at the centre of the die cut. I wanted the edges to be raised.

Next, I stamped and copic coloured the flowers from  Magnolias for Her stamp set from Altenew. I picked the colours from Missoni’s outfit. I like blending different colours. A bit difficult but super fun. Then cut out the flowers by hand. I clustered the flowers and bud and adhered using glue on the bottom of the flowers and foam on the top to give the raised effect. The sentiment is from  Birthday Greetings stamps et also from Altenew. To bring the card together, I used doodlebug’s yellow and pink sprinkles dots. Here is a closeup photo.

Happy Birthday clsoeup1//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
