25 Days of Christmas Tags with Tracey – Winnie & Walter!

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

I am participating in Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags today as a designer from Winnie & Walter.

The gorgeous Tracey McNeely organises 25 Days of christmas Tags every year. Every day in the month of November there are some gorgeous tags made by some of the talented designers and each day there are prizes to be won from some wonderful sponsors as you can see below.

Here is my tag using Winnie & Walter products.

I have used Winnie & Walter’s True Multifaceted Circle Cutaway as my ornament tag. I die cut the multifacted circle die out of gold foil cardstock. I also sponged Candied apple, wilted Violet and Mowed Lawn on a scrap piece of white cardstock and die cut using the same die. I then die cut two circle dies out of white cardstock. I adhered the gold multifaceted die cut on the white circle die cut and inlaid the pieces from sponged multifaceted die cut. I scored on the top of the other white circle and adhered to the back of the multifaceted circle. So you one can write personal message inside.

On the top of the multifaceted circle, I added a gold bow die cut using the Take a Bow cutaway. The sentiment is die cut using In a Word Merry cutaway. I sponged Candied Apple and Wilted Violet distress ink on it and adhered to the tag front. The smaller sentiment is from The Big, the Bold and Merry stamp set stamped using Versafine Black ink on a strip of cardstock sponged with Mowed Lawn distress ink. Finally I have added Sparkly Clear sequins.

25 Days of Christmas Tags with Tracey – Simon Says Stamp

Hello everyone, This is my second post for today. My first post is here!

The gorgeous Tracey McNeely organises 25 Days of christmas Tags every year.

I have been a participant for past couple of years or more! Every day in the month of November there are some gorgeous tags made by some of the talented designers and each day there are prizes to be won from some wonderful sponsors as you can see below.
Today I am participating as Simon Says Stamp designer. simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky winner $50 gift certificate.

Here is my tag for 25 Days of Christmas Tags!

I have used Simon Says Stamp Christmas Token die to make this tag. The background is created using the largest of the Taylored Expressions Stitched Tag stacklets 3 die set. I die cut one using a script pattern paper and another using chipboard. I adhered the pattern paper on top of the chipboard. I applied Nuvo Silver and Fresh Copper mousse to get the shimmery muted look on the background.

On a piece of scrap paper, I applied a generous amount of Nuvo Sapphire Blue glimmer paste. I let the paste dry and die cut the paper using Christmas Token die. I had to run this die like ten times on my die cutting machine to get a good cut. I adhered this on the tag base. I used Nuvo white crystal drops to fill in the small gaps of the snowflakes. And Doodlebug Sprinkles enamel dots and wooden enamel dots on the rest of the snowflakes. I then tied a lace on the tag with a bow using silver twine from May Arts. Simple, quick and easy tag which can also be used as an ornament.

Christmas Shaker Tags!

Oh Hello everyone,
Hope you are having a great day! How is the transition of seasons happening at your place? Perth is getting warmer finally. I am going into spring with cooler mornings and evenings. So happy to see some sunshine. I know for many of you living in the northern hemisphere are in Autumn. I live down under. We have had a unusual long cold winter. It is so exciting to have a gorgeous spring day.

Anyway, I have been busy yesterday and made a set of shaker Christmas tags using Taylored Expressions stamp set and dies.

Tag1
//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I have used Tag Stacklet 3 and Stitched Circle Stacklet dies to create my shaker frame and backing for the shaker tags. I used the second largest Tag Stacklet 3 and fourth stitched circle die from Stitched Circle Stacklet placed in the middle to die cut four white tag frames. I adhered circle acetate sheet behind the frames.
For the background, I die cut four stitched white circle from third stitched circle die. I sponged TE dye inks on the background. On two of the circles, I sponged Lemon Meringue, Cookie Monster. The other two are sponged with Plum Punch and Cookie Monster. I stamped two of them with Birch Tree background stamp using Sugar Cube ink and the other two with Earl Grey dye ink.
The focal point images are from Santa’s Helper stamp set which are stamped using Oreo hybrid ink, copic coloured and die cut using the coordinating dies. I adhered them on the base circle with foam adhesives. How cute are they with their santa hats?
I put the shaker tag together with couple of them with Snow Flurries sequins and the other two with Build a Scene sequins. I gold heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set on Cherry Pop card stock. I hand cut them out and adhered on the shaker tags. Finally I added couple of bells for each tag and tie the gold twine into a bow. Here the individual tag photos.

25 Days of Christmas Tag – Pretty Pink Posh

Hello everyone!

Tracey McNeely has been doing the 25 Days of Christmas Tags during the Christmas time for past five years. I have enjoyed participating in them for past three years. It is big source for holiday and Christmas tags for papercrafters. Lots of planning and efforts goes into it. Five years is a great milestone. Congratulations on your 5th Anniversary, Tracey!
Today I am participating  as design team member of Pretty Pink Posh. Here is Christmas tag using Pretty Pink Posh’s stamp set and dies.

I have used the Decorative Tag die to die cut two tags. One using vellum cardstock and the other with gold glitter cardstock. I punched a hole on top of the tags and set them aside. I then die cut the scalloped oval insert using gold glitter cardstock. For the focal point, I stamped, coloured and die cut the cup, cat and Christmas hat from Winter Friends stamp set and coordinating dies. I then glued the cat image over the cup and added the hat over the cat. I adhered the scalloped oval insert over the vellum using foam adhesives for dimension. The focal stamped image is also adhered inside the oval frame using foam adhesives. Then I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on a strip of white cardstock, trimmed fish tail banner and added to the bottom of the oval frame. Finally embellished with Sparkling Clear sequins. Then I layered the vellum decorative tag over the gold glitter tag tied them using gold twine and three jingle bells also from Pretty Pink Posh. I also brushed Wink of Stella shimmer on the hat which you can see in the photo below.

Tracey is also giving away plenty of prizes. Check out In My Creative Opinion Blog for more details.

Ho ho ho Merry Christmas Tag

The tag is from Essentials: Noelle Cutaway set. I die cut two of them and attached the second tag behind the first after scoring an inch from the top. The tag on the back will be to write a personal message. ON the tag front, I die cut four In a Word: Merry using white cardstock and one using silver glitter paper. I stacked and glued them with the silver glitter die cut on top of the stack. The bow is die cut using red glitter cardstock using Take a Bow Cutaway. The smaller sentiments are from The Big, the Bold and Merry stamp set. Before adhered the die cut and stamped elements on the tag, I sponged Crushed Olive distress ink towards the bottom of the tag. Then added some metallic red sequins from Pretty Pink Posh Classic Christmas sequins mix and gold twine to the tag.

25 Days of Christmas Tag with Tracey McNeely

This is my second post for today. This is my Christmas Card Series – Card #7 post.

Today I am participating in Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags as design team member of Curtain Call Challenge.

Here is my Christmas tag.
H ho ho! Card

I have used fish tail banner die from Paper Smooches to die cut my main tag using white cardstock as well as woodgrain pattern paper. I have glued the woodgrain die cut on to the wite cardstock die cut for stability.

I then die cut the frame using PTI silhouette die and sponged blue ink on the edges. The Santa is from Cute Christmas Characters from Clearly Besotted for Simon Says Stamp. I have white heat embossed the santa on watercolour paper, then watercoloured it. When dry, I used the coordinating die to die cut the santa. The gold bow is die cut using Taylored Expression die. The sentiment is from the Cute Christmas Character stamp set which I have stamped on to one of the tiny banner die cut from Simon Says Stamp. I trimmed off the folding banner edges and cut of fish tail ends with scissors to be able to fit on the tag. This sentiment strip is also sponged with blue ink on the edges.

Ho ho ho flat

I wanted to move away from the traditional looking tag to something totally different. I decided to rummage through my leftover diecut box to pick the diecuts to use on the tag. Except for the santa, others were left overs. It is a good feeling to reuse 🙂

Tag You’re It with Tracey’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Dear friends,
This challenge’s inspiration is this Maureen Merritt’s gorgeous card.
Tracey McNeely asked Tag You’re It Design Team to play along with her the 25 Days of Christmas Tags she has been hosting. As part of the team, I am play along using Maureen Merritt’s tag card as the inspiration.
I love Maureen’s tag card. Love the die cut background and layered tags. Inspired by these, here is my tag card.
Peace Love Joy 1
I have used the horizontal cover die from MFT to die cut my background panel. I then sponged some Fresh Peach ink from Simon Says Stamp on the negative strips from the diecut panel and popped it right back in place and glued the entire diecut down to the card front.

Peace Love Joy flat1

For the layered tags,  have used tags from MFT again which I die cut  twice from white cardstock.  I inked one tag completely with Mint Julep ink from Simon Says Stamp. On the second tag I have stamped the sentiment and layered the ornaments from Ornamental Style stamp set from Clearly Besotted.  I brushed Wink of Stella clear shimmer on he ornaments for the festive look on the Christmas card. I love the coral and mint colour combination. So trendy for a Christmas card.

Now I also made a coordinating tag as well

Peace Love Joy tag
For the coordinating tag, I did exactly the same process except revered the colours. I coloured the layered tag with coral and the ornaments with mint.  You can see the shimmer on the ornament on this tag picture.

Here are the tag card and tag together.

Hope you like my take on TYIC tag card. I am very thrilled with how they turned out especially the colour combination.

Quick and easy Christmas Tags

Hey folks,

I had some time this morning to craft. Shocking! I have been so busy for past couple of weeks that I found myself a bit restless this morning when I suddenly had nothing that needed to be done. So I headed to my tiny craft room with the intention of cleaning it but ended up crafting. I caught up with some DT work. One of which are this holiday tag set. This set is so quick and easy to make. The gold, red and green against the black tags gives a massive impact.

I have used Most Wonderful stamp set from Penny Black to make my tags.
Here is the stamp set.

Here are my tags.

Time tag
Snowflakes vertical tag

I have simply stamped the images with versamark and gold embossed the images. I also added a second tag at the back with the sentiment also from the same stamp set which is gold heat embossed.
I sponged some white ink to give chalkboard effect.

Inside tag
For couple of tags, I added green twine with gold thread and green metallic sequins from Classic Christmas Mix from Pretty Pink Posh.

Green tags
The rest of the two tags were dressed with red twine and gold thread and red metallic sequins also from Classic Christmas Mix from Pretty Pink Posh.

Tag You’re it Challenge #6

Hey everyone,
I have a new tag inspiration from Tag You’re It challenge for you today.
This  gorgeous tag is by one of our designer from TYIC –  Karin Akesdotter.
Beautiful pastel colours and love the placement of the flowers and the font of the sentiment. I am inspired by these but being a bright girl, I went for something bright.
Season's greetings
I have used black tag from American Crafts. The poinsettia is from MFT which I have stamped using Festive Berries distress ink and water coloured. I did two of these. Cut one in full and other the centre layer only. I then stamped the poinsettia in Mowed Lawn distress ink and watercoloured. On this one, I cut the periphery to use as leaves. I then just layered the centre layer of the poinsettia over the full poinsettia then the leaves under the full poinsettia. I adhered this layered watercoloured poinsettia on the bottom of the tag. Then white heat embossed the sentiment also from the same set from MFT. Finally accented with gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I love the colour contrast of the flowers against the black background.
It is you turn to play along. Head over to Tag You’re It Challenge Blog to see what the other designers did with the tag. You can also find the linky to link your project at the blog.

Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

Christmas Card Set #5

Happy Weekend Everybody!
Here is another set of Christmas cards for you.

Holiday Foundations
Holiday Foundations

I have decided to add the picture and link for the stamp sets I will be using to make my Christmas Cards because I get emails asking which stamp set I have used. I thought by adding the image and linking it easier to see and go to the shop if you like to purchase. Not at all enabling (Wink!) Just trying to help!
I love this stamp set and the cards because I love stamping, period! Simple pleasures in life. This is one of them 🙂 I love the colours and Memento Luxe inks are awesome. To finish my card off I used coordinating coloured twines with silver bells. I think I will make more of these cards using different colour combinations.
Enjoy your weekend!
