CR84FN Challenges, Paper Smooches

Birthday card!

Ok, I inked a Paper Smooches stamp but not the one I mentioned in the last post. Hip to be square is such a beautiful BG stamp that it looks cool by itself. I am stuck as to where to put the sentiment on that beautiful background. Until I make up my mind about it, the stamped image will be sitting on my desk. So I opened another background set from Paper Smooches and ink it to make this card.
Birthday card
Cardstock: Gina K luxury white cardstock

CR84FN Challenges, Retro Sketches

I am here for you….anytime!

I found this new sketch challenge blog called Retro Sketches. I love sketches and constantly look for sketches for my card layout. So I was happy to find another sketch challenge blog 🙂 The more the merrier.
Here is the retro sketch #1
What I did with this sketch was to turn it anticlockwise and made it vertical. And to make my card, I used CR84FN49 challenge colours.
Here is my take on both the challenges 🙂
I love combining different stamps and more if they er from different companies. On this card, I have combined stamps from Hero Arts, Uniko Studio and Wplus9. I was so happy when the clock from Uniko Studio and the sentiment from Hero Arts matched and was thrilled when the stamp from Wplus9 completed the sentiment 🙂
Cardstock: Lemon Tart, Stampers Select White from PTI, Basic Gray from SU
Stamp sets: Zig Zag and Cuckoo from Hero Arts. Time and Extra Time from Uniko Studio, Love You More from Wplus9.
Ink: Summer Sun and Cake Crumb from SU. Stazon Black Ink, Smokey Shadow from PTI
Accessories: Craft Concept’s Hexagon Illusion embossing folder, circle punch from SU, rhinestones from Kaisercraft.
We are having a long weekend. So tomorrow is also a holiday (labour day).
You know what that means? More time to craft 🙂
Ok! got to go now and make dinner (it is evening for me in Australia)
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

CR84FN Challenges

Sending Warm Wishes

Hello everybody,
How is weekend treating you? I had a great Saturday. Relaxed, washings done, cleaned and set up the guest room for my in-laws who are arriving next week, and finally cleaned and organised the study and craft table. A cleaned craft table is always inviting and I could not resist. So I made a few projects. Here is one I made for CR84FN48 Colour Challenge
Warm wishes card
I used one of sketches from Papertrey Ink Anniversary Contest. I love the texture from the houndstooth embossed grey panel. I think it gives the card a modern feel even though there is leaves and flower on it 🙂
I just realised that I need to use lavender colour and not purple 😦 Thats what happens when you think, you know the colours after seeing them only once Sigh! Well, I will try and make another card if I have time.
Cardstock: Stamper’s Slelect White, Royal Velvet from PTI, Basic Gray and Wild Wasabi from SU
Stamp set: Made with Love from Hero Arts
Inks: Stazon Black Ink
Accessories: Flower dies from MFT, Leaves from PTI and Houndstooth Embossing folder from SU, Rinestones from stash.
Thanks for stopping by!

CAS, CR84FN Challenges

Light Pink, Yellow and Neutral!!!

I have a quick post today. I made a card using CR84FN46 colour challenge
Here is the challenge for you
Very pretty colours. Love them. Here is my take on the challenge.

I choose my neutral as Sand Sahara from SU. Looks like Kraft on the photo!!!
I have been reading a book called Before & After –  How to design. Great book! I have finished the first chapter about layout, colours and typeface. So decided to use a few fundamentals on this card like framing, focal image @ or above eye level and to get typeface that matches the focal image…
My dear hubby downloaded this book on iPad and gave it to me to read. Sweet huh!  I did a course on interior designing long time ago. So all info on colours are coming back to me now. Anyway, cannot wait to read the second chapter.
Cardstock: Stamper’s Select white and Lemon Tart from Papertrey Ink, Sand Sahara from SU.
Stamp sets: YOF- Mums from Papaertrey Ink and Spring POst from Wplus9
Inks: Colourbox Frost White Ink and Stazon Black Ink
Accessories: White embossing powder, heat gun, Pearls and Book Print Impression Plate from Papertrey Ink
I really need to go to Woolworths to buy veggies and groceries!
Thanks for visiting. See you soon.

CR84FN Challenges

Country style!

Hello everybody, I have another card share today for CR84FN28.
Here is heir latest photo and colours.

Here is my take on the challenge. I was inspired by the gingham and the flowers on the photo.

Here is a closeup

I created the red gingham using Papertrey Ink Gingham  background stamp. The pattern apper is from Crate paper. The focal tag is spellbinder die stamped using Waltzingmouse stamp and the sentiment  and the flourish stamp is from Wplus9. The rose flower is from Kaisercraft, leaves from Prima Marketing and red ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. I love the warm country feel of the card. Hope you like it too!
My son had a scholarship exam  for his high school this morning. He came out relieved and said he has done 3 out of 4 papers well. A bit unhappy about the one paper. Hopefully all goes well. We will know the result in August. We can relax now for another 3 weeks before starting prepartion for  music theory exams. When kids were little and dependent on me for everything, I felt if kids grow up and become independent, I could be free. But a whole lot of new things crop up at every stage. Not that I am cribbing, I love them.  There is always something to do for them. I guess such is life!  I now wonder what will I do when they leave house in a few years?  I will certainly miss them and house will be empty 😦
OK! I have to pick up my daughter from school now and take both of them for their swimming lesson. Have a great evening!
CR84FN Challenges, Mojo Monday

Pretty in Pink!

Yay! I woke up this morning to find blogger fixed and running. It was frustrating having no access to blogger  except to read only mode. There are a few comments missing on my posts. Hopefully that will be fixed too.
Any way, I have a card I made for couple of challenges. I have used Mojo Monday sketch #190 and  CR84FN27 color challenge. Here is the sketch and the colors of the challenges:)

Here is what I came up with

A feminine pretty in pink card. The glittery dress is a die cut using Taylored Expression apron die on PTI’s dressform diecut.. The bow is also made using a die from Taylored Expression. Papers are from Prima Marketing and Crate Paper. The stickers are from Echo Park Be Mine collection., Lace from an Esty shop, orses from Prima Markerting and stamps from Papertrey Ink.
Some closeups

I am not a huge fan of Pink color but I like this card.  I am also excited about using the apron die for a dress with a big bow. My mojo has come back. Thanks to both the challenges. Maybe pink will become one of my fav color after all 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! I have a busy day ahead today. Have a great weekend!

Here is my take on both the challenges

Loved the sketch and the gorgeous colors from the CR84FN challenge. Thanks for the same 🙂
