I used Lawn Fawn’s Merry Christmouse stamp set which is a Christmas stamp set to make a birthday card.
I stamped the mice and the cheese presents, coloured them with copic markers and hand cut them out. I don’t have the coordinating dies but they are available. For the winter background, I white heat embossed the snow flakes from Simon Says Stamp’s Cute Snowflakes stamp set. Then die cut snow mound using masking paper and Simon Says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills. Then sponged the background using distress inks – Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet. I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment from stamp sets – Merry Christmouse and Cozy Christmas.
I adhered this panel on a script pattern paper from Kaisercraft. I sponged the edges with Blueprint Sketch distress ink. This completed panel is adhered to the card front.

I fell in love with the Sprinkled with Joy stamp set and coordinating dies after I saw Kelly’s video. LOVE how the oven opens and great to make interactive cards. I am usually not the one to make elaborate interactive cards as it take a lot of time engineering them. I am more of a quick and easy cardmaker. But this stamp set made me push outside my comfort zone and make an elaborate interactive card. Here is the card.

This card took me about four hours to make because I had a certain idea in my mind and wanted to put that on paper. I wanted the oven door to open from the card front and see the oven tray with cookies on the inside of the card. So essentially a window card.  When I started making the card, I had a tradesman come in to fix the gyprock in my dining room after a waterleak. So I had to bring all the supplies down to the dining table so I can craft and keep an eye on the trades at work. I realised that I cannot multitask! I made so many mistakes, unnecessarily complicated the process and had to redo so many parts of the card. But I got there finally. 
You can see in the photo below the oven on the front of the card and the tray with cookies and other accessories inside the card.

I stamped and coloured the oven and the accessories I needed using copic makers. Then die cut using the coordinating dies. I also die cut the card front and a white stitched panel using the oven die. I adhered an acetate sheet behind the panel after sponging ink using the stencil on top of the panel and ink on the bottom of the panel. Then inlaid coloured oven die on the panel. I also die cut a similar die without stamping the oven image and adhered on the other side of the panel. I adhered this panel on the card front with plaid pattern paper making sure I lined up the die cut openings. I added the towel and the open me tag to the oven on the front. Then I added a black glitter scalloped frame and stamped sentiment on a sponged strip of card. And finally embellished using sparkly clear sequins.

I aligned the tray such that you can see the tray inside the oven when the oven door is opened front the card front but inside the card as you see in the photo above, the tray with cookies and all the accessories next to it. I added a strip of the same plaid pattern paper from the card front to coordinate. Sentiment is from same stamp set is stamped on a strip of cardstock sponged with ink.

I wish I was alone at home and had more pleasant experience making it. But hey I stuck to the process, never gave up despite the mistakes and love the result. How cute is the oven and the accessories? Adore the towel on it. I felt like I was playing with the miniature cooking set I used to have as a child. I LOVE Lawn Fawn stamp sets and particularly this set called Loads of Fun. I adore the washing machine image and the accessories, let alone the sentiments. I was waiting to get my hands on it and make a shaker card.

So I started with stamping all the images from the stamp set and coloured them using copic markers. Then I fuzzy cut them out with scissors. The images are basic in shape and so easy to cut them out. I think dies are available is you are someone who love to have matching dies for stamp sets. I then used a circle die and cut the centre of the washing machine to make a shaker card. I filled the shaker with the copic coloured clothing images I fuzzy cut. I LOVE the washing machine now 🙂 So adorable don’t you think?

For the background, I masked the bottom of the card front using masking tape, then sponged Spun Sugar and Adandoned Coral distress ink on top of Simon Says Stamp Trellis Grate stencil. Then I removed the mask and masked the stenciled area to sponged Gathered Twigs distress ink. I wanted wallpaper and floor background. I pretty much achieved it I think!  
I adhered the washing machine, basket and other elements using foam adhesives for dimension. I stamped one half of the sentiment directly on the bottom of the card and the other on a strip of white cardstock, trimmed and adhered. Finally embellished with Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!

Well, I made a set of cards for this challenge as I got carried away with Lawn Fawn’s Let’s Polka Mon Amie pattern paper. So this post has lots of photos.

I have used the Let’s Polka Mon Amie pattern paper on all the cards which I die cut using Stitched Rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp. I also used the leftover pattern paper to stamp the banner and sentiment. I hand cut them all the banners. The focal point image the Kangaroo is from Critters Down Under stamp set. I stamped and copic coloured them all and hand cut them all out. To make the image stand out, I adhered them on a stitched rectangle vellum panel with the sentiment banner below the focal image. Finally embellished with sequins from Little Things by Lucy. Here are the closeups.

I love the cuteness of Lawn Fawn stamp sets. And I really adore the cute otter in the Otterly Great Birthday stamp set and dies. This is my card using the adorable otter image from Lawn Fawn!

I black embossed the otter and watercoloured using Zig Clean Brush watercolour pen. Then I die cut the otter using the coordinating die. Then stamped the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and trimmed the edges.

For the background, I stamped the new Stepping Stone background stamp from You have  my Heart collection from Simon Says Stamp in versamark and white heat embossed the image on watercolour paper. Then I coloured the inside of the stones in various shades of blue and aqua using Zig Clean Brush Watercolour pens. The background I shaded in grey. Once dry, I used the largest Stitched rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die set to die cut the watercoloured background. I adhered this panel to Audrey Blue card base using craft foam. Then added a layer of vellum which I die cut using the third largest stitched rectangle die. On top of the vellum panel, I adhered the die cut otter and the sentiment using foam adhesives. To bring the card together, I used Pretty Pink Posh’s Cobalt,  Sea Breeze and Sparkly Clear sequins.

The shades of blue watercolour on Stepping Stone background give the look of water on the background. Love that stamp set. Just change the colour and you have brand new background every time. Must have background stamp set. Hope you like my critter card!

This is my take on the challenge using Lawn Fawn stamp set.

I have used the  STAMPtember exclusive stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Merry Christmouse! I masked and stamped the images from the stamp set in the middle to form a cluster. I then coloured the images using copic markers. I brushed Wink of Stella clear shimmer pen on red colours to add sparkle to the card. I grounded all the images by colouring with brown copic markers. Below this I stamped the sentiment. To add more sparkle to the card, I die cut a stitched curved edge to the bottom of the panel using Simon Says Stamp Sitiched Slope and Hills die. On the bottom of the card front, I adhered red glitter paper then adhered the top panel  using foam adhesive. I then embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Classic Christmas sequins. Kraft, White and a colour!

Morning everyone,
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend or a Mad Monday for those in Australia and New Zealand. Mine is a mad Monday. My son came back from his Italy trip last night. So happy to see him 🙂 He has not stopped talking about his trip. We have thousands of photos to see and more to listen. He has definitely enjoyed the trip. Very happy for him.  School restarts tomorrow. I cannot wait for it. Last two weeks of spring break was chaotic but lovely at home. I now need to fall back into routine and also get some me time to restart crafting. I have lots to catch up.
I am late in sharing this post for the reasons above. But better late than never!
There is a new challenge at A Blog Named Hero Blog.
This is a great challenge. I love kraft and white together and a splash of one colour will make the colour pop.
This is my take on the challenge.
This month  we are also collaborating with Lawn Fawn. I have used the chevron border stamp set from Lawn Fawn to stamp with Lipstick Red SSS ink to get the chevron background. on white cardstock. For the second layer, I used kraft cardstock and white heat embossed the images from Deck the Hall stamp set from Hero Arts. The third layer is vellum on which I red heat embossed the images from Deck the Hall stamp set and  Holiday Petals and Leaves stamp set from Hero Arts. Final layer is the sentiment from Hero Arts Holiday Petals and Leaves stamp set stamped in black on a strip of white card stock. All the layers are adhered using foam adhesives to give dimension. Finally I adhered some red metallic sequins from Pretty Pink Posh on the horns and bow. Here is a closeup of the card.

This is my shaped card!

I used the largest of the balloons from Simon Says Stamp Balloons die set for my card base. I die cut two balloons. I sponged Sea Glass ink on one of the balloons die which will be my card front. One the second balloon die, I scored at one inch from the top on which I added some tape and adhered to the back of the first balloon.

For the focal point, I stamped the banner from Lawn fawn Bannerific stamp set, then masked the banner and stamped the flowers and leaves from Lawn Fawn Flutter By stamp set. They were coloured using copic markers and added shimmer using Sakura glitter pen. I then hand cut the cluster out and adhered on the balloon card front. Then I  stamped the tiny flower image on the balloon front using black ink and embellished with Pretty Pink Posh iridescent sequins. The pink baker’s twine is from Doodlebug.

A purple birthday card…

Sharing with you a very birthday card I have made as Guest Designer for i {heart} papers.
Here is the card.

For the background on the card, I sponged some distress inks and spattered some water. Any dye inks will do this trick for you as dye inks do react with water.  I also did the same another piece of cardstock. On this cardstock, I white heat embossed the feathers from Dream stamp set from Lawn Fawn and the banner from Bannerific stamp set also from Lawn Fawn. I die cut the feather using the coordinating Dream dies. And hand cut the banner. I stamped the sentiment from Happy Everything stamp set from Lawn Fawn. On the feather I added some black dots using a black fineliner. I trimmed the sponged cardstock, adhere to the card front. Then mounted the banner using foam adhesives and glued the feather down at its bottom so the top of the feather is raised. Finally accented with white enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye Charmed collection.
I love the magical and monochromatic colours. Hope you like my card.
