Simon Says Gift It!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Gift It

You could choose to make a gift, a gift card, or add an image of a gift to your project. there are so many ways to interpret this challenge! We will be looking forward to seeing what you create!

This week we are showcasing Mama Elephant Products.  You don’t have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

I have used Mama Elephant’s Lucky Envelope Die to make a gift card holder.

The technique I used to make this envelope is a CASE of Kristina’s Holiday Card Series 2016 Day 25. Her cards are my absolutely favourite in the the series. Love the technique. So I did exactly the same. I watercoloured my watercolour paper using Gansai Tambi watercolor blue hues. After the paper was dry. I die cut the panel using the envelope die. And then ran the die cut using a Next Level Wave embossing folder. Love the texture on the panel. It is difficult to show the texture on the envelope. But trust me it is there Lol!  Then I assembled the envelope. This envelope fits an gift card perfectly.

To decorate it I used Simon Says Stamp’s Snowflakes for the Season die to die cut the leftovers of the watercoloured panel as well as a silver cardstock. I used the largest two of the die in the set. Then layered the glued them with the silver die cut in the middle. I added a clear droplet at the centre. I adhered this on the envelope with a vellum square die cut cut using the die from Lucy Envelope Die. I also die cut a rectangle panel using another of die from the envelope die set and the left over watercoloured panel. I stamped the sentiment from Arctic Christmas stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I adhered this panel on the envelope using foam adhesives.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge – Going Dotty!

Second post for today! My first post is HERE!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too

This week the challenge is Going Dotty!

We are showcasing Art Impressions Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used

Here is my take on the Getting Dotty Challenge using Art Impressions stamp.

I started with stamping the image from Art Impressions called Cupcake Bff’s and coloured with copic markers. I must tell you that I really enjoyed colouring this image. Made me smile a lot. I then covered the image with rubber cement and left it to dry. The image is now masked. I then placed the Tiny Dots Stencil from Simon Says Stamp over the image and sponged Black Soot Distress ink. I removed the rubber cement from the image by just rubbing my fingers over the image. The inner panel is die cut using Winnie & Walter’s Essential: Audrey Cutaway. I sponged Soft Granite ink to the edges of the panel. Love the scallop edge. The black frame is die cut using Mama Elephant Femme frame die.

To assemble the card, I make a white card base, then adhered the black frame using liquid glue, then the stamped panel using foam adhesives. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Messages stamp set which I had white embossed on black cardstock, I then trimmed the cardstock and adhered using foam adhesive. Finally I have used Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I have brushed Pink Wink of Stella on the cupcake. Here is a closeup of my card.

Tag You’re It Challenge #15

Hello folks,

I have a new Tag You’re it Challenge. 

For this challenge we have this Donna Mikasa’s beautiful and colourful watercoloured  fish card as the inspiration. So create a tag or a tag card using Donna’s card as inspirations.

I love the watercoloured images paired with a dark colour cardstock.

 Here is my take.

I have used Ice Cream Dream stamp set on my tag. I stamped the icy poles in black and watercoloured them in shades of pink and purple. Then tying the purples in the icy poles with a purple scalloped frame. I simply stamped the sentiment, trimmed and used foam adhesives to adhere. I love the simplicity of the tag card with emphasis on the colours.

A couple more Christmas cards

Hey folks,

Sharing couple of Christmas cards I had made. These are one offs and does not belong to a set.

I wanted white and gold combination with a splash of  Christmas colours. I die cut the scalloped panel using Mama Elephant die and two inner panels one from vellum hexagonal paper and one from white cardstock using the same Mama Elephant die. The reindeer and the wreath are from Essentials by Ellen. So is the sentiment die cut. I have used green and red glitter paper to die cut the wreath and sentiment. No stamping on this card. Only layering die cuts. Here is a closeup.

For this second card, I have die cut the gold panel using Mama Elephant die, the inner panel again layered using vellum and white cardstock. The wreath is die cut using green cardstock and the reindeer using gold cardstock. The sentiment from Essentials by Ellen again die cut using gold cardstock. 

I just love the use of enamel dots on the reindeers. Adds a nice touch. A closeup for you.

Summer Card Camp #2 Week #3 Day #1

After watching Jennifer’s video last night (for me in Australia), I couldn’t wait to stamp the gorgeous pattern using triangles border stamps. So quickly sent the children to school and hubby to work and quickly made this card.

 I have used the triangles border stamp from Mama Elephant’s Trifecta set. I stamped the purples and blue and brown like an ombre to give an colourful look. While making this card, I received my package from My Favorite Things. I opened and there was the gorgeous inks, dies and stamps. And a mint in a pink wrapper. How personalised is that? Love it. Thank you. So the sentiment for this card is made using dies form My Favorite Things. Love how Jennifer did the banner wrapping around the card front. Super cool!

Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #100

Gorgeous Monday today! Sun is shining bringing in warm on a winter day! Enjoying it! I only wish my craft room was facing North to bring some sun shine. It is COLD in there:( So I crafted on my kitchen table today and played along Iwona Palamountain’s Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #100.

I wanted to do a pretty card with pretty colours and flowers. The flowers and sentiments are from Designer Flowers from Annabelle Stamps. The leaves are Turning into New Leaf dies from PTI and the background stamp is from Mamma Elephant Stamps. The sequins are from Neat and Tangled!

I love this!

Hey everybody,

G’Morning! It is Tuesday and everybody is back to school and work after the long weekend! So I decided to play along a challenge or two to get my mojo running back again!

I found this new sketch challenge at Mama Elephant and decided to play along. I have a few of Mama Elephant stamp sets and decided to crack open one of them and ink them.

Here is my card using the sketch.

I decided to shrink the sketch a little. The stamp set I have used for this challenge is called Smitten! Love this set especially the feather and the bar code images. For this card I decided to go colourful again a neutral background. the pattern paper is from My Mind’s Eye-Be Amazing 6 x 6 paper pad. Hope you like it.
