Hey everybody once again today:)

Sharing a card for AnnaBelle Stamps Friday Feature.

This week’s feature is to use “Garden Silhouette” stamp set from AnnaBelle Stamps. Since I don’t have that particular set, I am using “All Things Grow”. This set is also a silhouette set.
So here is my take on the challenge.

I have stamped three different stamps in layers using two different colours. I love the layering effect. The blue and orange colours contrast so well against the white. I have trimmed, diecut and embossed Sand Sahara cardstock and tied the gorgeous blue satin ribbon from AnnaBelle Stamp. I love the satin ribbon from AnnaBelle Stamps because it is satin on both sides. Easy to make a bow and the satin shines on both sides. No twisting or turning to make the satin side stay out. Love it.

I have used The Play Date Cafe Frost Beauty Challenge #163 colours to make my card.

Morning Everybody,

It is Saturday morning for me. A very busy weekend for me. Tomorrow is Music Awards for the kids and today we are preparing for it. Ironing clothes, hair to done, practice solo and groups….. So this post will be a short one.

I am sharing this card for Moxie Fab World-The Card Design Handbook Week-The Repetition Challenge.

I am in love with the speech bubbles. So I pulled out MFT’s Let’s Chat stamp set and dies to make my card. I added Hero Arts Plaid background stamp to add interest and texture. I also coloured the speech bubbles with Shabby Shutters Distress Marker to add colour to the card.

I love the sentiments on them and how the card turned out. There is repetition and balance on the card.

I am also submitting this card for The Play Date Cafe Challenge # 146.

A quick post sharing a card I made for The Play Date Cafe Challenge #140

I really liked this colour combination especially the picture of the quit and pillow.

Colour blocking came to my mind and used it as an inspiration to make my card.

Here is my card.

Supplies:

Cardstock: White cardstock from Wplus9. Delightful Daffodils and Taken with Teal from SU. Aqua Mist from PTI

Stamp sets: None

Inks: None

Accessories: PTI alpha dies and Fresh daisies dies from Simon Says Stamps.

I love how it turned out. And no stamps or inks used on it. I couldn’t believe myself.lol!

Here is a card I made for The Play Date Cafe Challenge #133

This is a very classic colour combination and I love it.
Here is my card.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Spring Rain and Pure Poppy from PTI

Pattern paper: RWB Classic collection from Uniko Studio

Stamp Sets: Time and Extra Time from Uniko Studio

Accessories: Colourbox Frost white ink, Pure Poppu ink from PTI, White embossing powder heat gun.

As I am posting this, my son Sid is in surgery in Perth. Although it is a minor surgery, things can happen. Praying all goes well. He has been a very good boy. Never once has he complained of pain in his eyes or said the chalazion has blocked his vision even though it has. He has got his dad with him who know about his medical condition as a doctor. Sitting 600 kms away, it is hard for me as a mother not to be with him. Waiting for the phone call. Anytime now.

The Spectacular Spectacle Challenge

Morning everybody,

Yay! Monday! I love Monday because kids are off to school and hubby to work and I have the house all to myself. Although I don’t have the house to myself at the moment. My in-laws are staying with me. But atleast there is a routine. I have since vaccumed, mopped the house, washed the clothes and prepared for lunch. So time to browse, check emails and write up this post.

Again I made this card couple of days ago. When I saw Moxie Fab World’s The Spectacular Spectacle Challenge, I immediately pulled out Lawn Fawn’s Clear To See stamp set. But was stumped! What to do? Because I did a mini blog hop with my friend Joyce using this set. Here are the cards I made earlier.

Anyway, after seeing the current PDCC colours, the idea bulb lit up in my head. Have you seen sunglasses with blue and pink shades? I have! Very funky and retro.I also wanted to use the PDCC colours other than for a flower or an elegant card.

And, I read Cath’s article on PC blog about focus on trendy spectacle. I loved the card by Chunyaun with the repetitive pattern of the spectacle. So inspired by all of these, I made my card.

Supplies:

Cardstock: White cardstock by Wplus9, Pretty in Pink and Basic Grey from SU

Stamp set: Clear To See by Lawn Fawn and Folk Art by Wplus9

Inks: Momento Black Ink

Accessories: Button from PTI, Copics pink and blue colours.

I love the repetitive retro spectacle background. Just so cool. I also interpreted the pink and blue shades as two friends. Hence the sentiment. Hope you like it. I love it 🙂 One of my favourites.

Thanks for all your get well wishes on my neck sprain. About 75% better than yesterday. Thats why I was able to do a lot of work today. Hopefully by tomorrow, I will be well 100% 🙂

Morning everybody,

A quick share today for The Play Date Cafe Challenge #129.
Here is the colour picture

Not only do I love the colour combo but my eyes were drawn towards the pillow. I have seen similar design pillows and cushions in different colours and I have pinned one such cushion on my pinterest’s Inspirational board. So I took the pillow as my inspirational and made my card.
Here is my take on the challenge.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Stampers Select White from PTI

Stamp Set: Flower Fusion # 8 from PTI and Big Greetings from MFT

Inks: Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss and Perfect Plum all from Stampin’ Up! and Archival Jet Black Ink

Accessories: Rhinestones from Kaisercraft

I inked my arcylic block with Basic Grey and stamped on the white panel. I used the back of the negative image stamp from Flower Fusion #8 and stamped second generation to get the flower base. And then used the positive image of the flower and full ink to stamp the image. I love the texture yet still one layer card except for the rhinestone.

Orange, Pink and White Graphic

Today, I am free for some reason! Aha! I know why? Because weekend is going to be very busy. Having 4 families over for sunday lunch and I need to get the menu ready by tonight and buy and prepare by tomorrow. So I decided I will not stress too much today. Want a day off to prepare myself for the busy weekend. That means crafting for me. I am trying to submit for another mag call. No mojo flowing there. So I browsed and saw that The Play Date Cafe Challenge #128 has a beautiful colour combination.

I love bright colours and this is perfect to lift my mojo. I thought of doing a tie like that on the picture but I don’t like men wearing these colours. So ditched the idea. Next comes flowers but it is too easy. Then comes colour blocking. Great idea but it is easy too. Finally, I decided on doing some masking and sponging based on a clip that came on Better Homes and Gardens last night.

Here is my card.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Stampers Select White from PTI

Stamp Set: Super Star from Wplus9

Inks: Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks and Archival JetBlack Ink

Accessories: Masking tape, Tim Holtz sponging tool.

I used masking tape to mask the edges and randomly in a zig zag manner. Then sponged Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks. Then carefully removed the masking tape. The result is this graphic pattern. Just perfect. Love it 🙂

About this time, my postie also arrived to give me my Wplus9 and MFT packages. I broke opened the Wplus9 Super Star set and used the sentiment on this card.

I love graphic designs and love how my card turned out. Hope you do too,

I like Play Date Cafe’s colour splash challenges and I try to play them all.

This time it is splash of Teal !

Love love teal colour against black. Here is my take on the challenge.

I stamped Papertrey Ink Boy Basics Simple Circles stamp using SU Taken with Teal ink and punched them out. Glued three circles together and created this card. The teal pearls are made using Viva Decor Pearl Pen – Turquoise. They are beautiful and easy to use as well. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Whale wishes stamp set.

This week’s PDCC challenge is a challenge I like. Its the splash of color challenge. The splash of color is ORANGE! Orange is one of my fav colour too. Here is the photo for you.

Instead of a card, I made a altered frame for little boy’s room. I saw this frame in a local shop and they come in different colors. Of course, I had to buy them. I love the glossy finish of the frames too.
