Some of them made me think outside the box and other made me do something creative in spite of being straightforward. That’s the beauty of this challenge. Agreed? Here is challenge #98 Gucci!

I love the script on the red outfit. And I had the perfect pattern paper for the challenge. So here is my card for the challenge.

RIC #98

This card is made using Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit. The kit has this gorgeous pattern paper I have used on the card front. I then added a strip of green striped panel. I stamped a white strip of cardstock with MFT striped background stamp using Fern Simon Says Stamp ink. Then layered with a black strip of glitter paper. The star is die cut using gold foiled paper using Simon Says Stamp Sketch Star. The centre is puffy stickers from Pinkfresh Studio found in the card kit. The card is embellisheh using the self adhesive sequins also from the car kit. I love how focal poin is small and clustered which allows the sentiment pattern paper to shine. Here is a closeup

Runway Inspired Challenge #97

Hello dear friends,

Welcome to the new Runway Inspired Challenge #97.

What a brightly coloured outfit? I am a bright girl and I love this dress especially the orange lace border. Love the colour combination of ink blue and bright orange. Here is my card for the challenge.
Hello Birthday Girl card//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

This challenge is sponsored by Altenew. Tasnim and Jen were generous to provide us design team with discount to buy their gorgeous designs.Thank you very much to both of you. Love you both 🙂

I chose to use the colours together and the concept of lace like orange border on my card. The stamp set I have used for my orange lace border is called Wild Hibiscus. I love this stamp set for its shading on the image. Just awesome. I stamped the flowers all around the white panel. Then I stamp few flowers on scrap cardstock, cut them out and layered over the stamp image on the card panel.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Half tone Hello using Blue Violet Simon Says Stamp ink, then die cut using the coordinating die. The additional sentiment is stamped on a strip of white cardstock using Orange Soda Hero Arts ink and adhered using foam adhesives. The panel is adhered on an ink blue card base. Finally embellished with Cobalt sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Runway Inspired Challenge #95

Hello and welcome to a new Runway Inspired Challenge #95
This challenge is this pretty dress from Marchesa Notte!

Love the ink blue background with pop of pretty pink and the bold pink shoes. I am taking the colours from this outfit as my inspiration for my card.

Just saying Hello!//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I have used Altenew’s Golden Garden stamp set to stamp and make my background. I used Doll Pink and Blue Violet inks from Simon Says Stamp. I LOVE the two colours together. Bright and beautiful with a lot of white. Then I layered a piece of vellum. The sentiment is from Super Script stamp set also from Altenew. I stamped the large sentiment and hand cut it out. The smaller sentiment is stamped on a strip of white cardstock. I popped them both using foam adhesives. Finally embellishing with Pretty Pink Posh’s Pink Peonies sequins. Here is a closeup!

Runway Inspired Challenge – #94

Hello and welcome to Runway Inspired Challenge #94

What a beautiful lace outfit?  Very elegant and feminine. My inspiration for this challenge comes from the lace dress, the green indoor plant and black accents from the pot and chair. Here is my take on the challenge.

To get the lace effect, I die cut The Garden die from Penny Black using Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock. I layered and glued this die cut on white glitter paper. This I adhered to a white card base. For the focal point, I die cut Lively and Flower Frolic die also from Penny Black using green cardstock and sponged some Pine Needles distress ink to add shading to the die cuts. I layered the die cut on the card front and flush glued them. The sentiment is also from Penny Black called Stylish Gratitude. I did not add any embellishments because the glitter on the background is enough to add interest to the card. Here is a closeup of the card.

Runway Inspired Challenge #93

Second post for today. Here is my first post.

Welcome to a new Runway Inspired Challenge – Emilio De La Morena!

source:  style.com

The skirt reminded me of brush strokes stamp set which were hot some time ago. I have a few of them and decided to find them and use it. Here is my take on the challenge.

I picked the colours from the skirt to ink and layer stamp them. I did a white panel and it looked fab! I trimmed the panel at an angle to adhered on the bottom of the card front. I added a black glitter strip of paper as border. Stamped the sentiment at the angle. To tie in with the brush strokes, I added a few spatter in blue and a brush stroke in red on the top of the card front. Finally embellished with sparkly black enamel dots. Here is a closeup!

Runway Inspired Challenge #92

Good morning everyone,

Sharing with you my card for the new Runway Inspired Challenge today. I am late in getting my card for the challenge as I was away over the weekend and still trying to catch up on everything. But hey I am here now. The newest challenge is Runway Inspired Challenge #92

Looking at this outfit, my immediate thought is watercolouring. So I made a Christmas card using watercolouring technique.

Holiday Season card//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I started with stamping the images from Essentials By Ellen stamp set called Mistletoe and Holly in black and clear embossed the images. The sentiment is also from the stamp set stamped and red heat embossed. I then picked the colours from the challenge outfit and coloured the images and the background. Then trimmed off quart of an inch on the sides to adhered on red card base to give a nice red border edge. To highlight them sentiment, I die cut a green frame using two stitched rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die set to adhered using foam adhesive for added dimension. finally, embellished with Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Runway Inspired Challenge #91

Hello and welcome to a new Runway Inspired Challenge #91.
We have Michael Kors outfit as inspiration for you.
My inspiration is the geometric colourful top of the outfit. I love how the top pops against the solid black and white rest of the outfit.
Here is my take on the challenge.
I have used Winnie & Walter’s Multifaceted stamp set to white heat emboss on the watercolour paper. Then watercoloured directly using the Zig Clean Brush Watercolour pens. I then trimmed the panel, added a black and green cardstock panels behind randomly before adhering on to a white card base. The sentiment is from Parentville stamp set also from Winnie & Walter. I then added some heart shaped enamel dots from Prima Marketing to finish the card. Father’s day is on September 6th here is Australia. This card will be perfect for one of my children to give their dad 🙂

Runway Inspired Challenge #90

It is time for another Runway Inspired Challenge. This is challenge #90 and we have a gorgeous dress by Monique Lhuillier.
This dress has both lace and floral trends in it. I particularly love the lace bodice spilling into the skirt a little and blending into the floral pattern. I wanted to bring that into my card but just did not get the mojo to do it. So I have used both the yellow lace and floral on my card not the way I wanted though. Here is my card for the challenge.
I used Penny Black’s The Garden cover plate die for my yellow lace element. I sponged the die cut with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed distress ink, trimmed the edges randomly with scissors and adhered to the top left of the card front.

The flowers are from Blooming Garden stamp set also from Penny Black. I stamped them in black ink and copic coloured the flowers and leaves picking colours from the floral pattern on the dress. I then cut the flowers out and layered and glued them over the yellow lace. The sentiment is from Happy Notes stamp set also from Penny Black. I stamped using black ink on a strip of white cardstock and adhered using foam adhesives. Finally embellished with Sparkly Clear sequins.

Lots of white space with yellow lace and a cluster floral focal element. Pretty happy with how this card turned out. Now it is your turn to play the challenge. I cannot wait to see what you do. 🙂

Runway Inspired Challenge #89

Hello and welcome to another Runway Inspired Challenge.
This is challenge #89 with outfit from Chirstian Siriano.

This challenge is sponsored by FishScraps – digital art for creative people like YOU!

Carrie generously provided us design team with her gorgeous digital arts to use. If you love digital stamps and images, then check out FishScraps. Carrie has really beautiful and fun line arts as well as gorgeous pattern paper. One of my favourite digis. Love it!

I made two card for the challenge. I just took the coloured from the outfit and the photo as a whole and incorporated them into my projects. This is my first card.

The balloons are from Birthday Balloon clipart, which I layered using photoshop and also added the sentiment from the same line of clipart. I then printed the image out and coloured the balloon using the colours from the inspiration photo for the challenge. I trimmed the card panel down and adhered on a grey card base. I then added  bright orange dots picked from the shoes of the photo inspiration.
Here is a closeup of the card.
For my second card, I went a bit elaborate. But first here is the card.

I used the paper and elements from a value bundle of Wild Flower Combo, Country Flowers, Shabby Chic Floral, Vibrant Teen and Graphic Design Bundle. Again, I used photoshop to resize the pattern paper, the flowers and leaves, printed them on cardstock at Office Works. I them hand cut out all the flowers and leaves to cluster glue them on the green printed cardstock. Here is a closeup.

I then matted this panel on a pink cardstock before I adhered the panel to the white card base. The sentiment is from Altenew’s Label Love stamp set. Again I brought in the orange from the shoes into the card using Tangerine sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Hope you like my take on the challenge using FishScraps digital art. Check out Runway Inspired Challenge for more inspiration on the challenge using FishScraps.

Runway Inspired Challenge #88

Afternoon everyone!

It is time for new Runway Inspired Challenge #88. Are you ready?

source: style.com

Very typical Missoni outfit. Zigzag/chevron pattern is his trade mark. Intially, I wanted to use chevron stamp set or dies on my card but them I decided to against it. I wanted to use the colours from the outfit and a pattern on the background instead. Here is my take on the challenge.

For the background, I die cut this fishnet pattern using MFT’s Fishnet Cover plate die. I then randomly trimmed off the edges as I wanted an uneven background. I adhered this on the white card base by applying glue to only a few places at the centre of the die cut. I wanted the edges to be raised.

Next, I stamped and copic coloured the flowers from  Magnolias for Her stamp set from Altenew. I picked the colours from Missoni’s outfit. I like blending different colours. A bit difficult but super fun. Then cut out the flowers by hand. I clustered the flowers and bud and adhered using glue on the bottom of the flowers and foam on the top to give the raised effect. The sentiment is from  Birthday Greetings stamps et also from Altenew. To bring the card together, I used doodlebug’s yellow and pink sprinkles dots. Here is a closeup photo.

Happy Birthday clsoeup1//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
