CASEStudy & CASology Challenges

Good Morning!
Woohoo! It is Saturday. One week has gone by since school started. Children are sleeping in. I thought I better start my day with a nice cup of Nespresso and blog.
I made this card real quick yesterday morning but couldn’t blog until today. Hubs was at home and we decided to do some sorting and cleaning. Then we went to watch the T20 Cricket finals match between Perth and Hobart. Yay! Perth won 🙂 So here I am today sharing this my card. I made this card for two challenges – CASEStudy #177 and CASology #81.
The CASE Study challenge #177 muse is Danielle Flanders. I am a big fan of Danielle. So I played along especially because her muse card has black, white, vellum, gold and glitter (Big smile!). CASology #81 theme is “and” I have been wanting to use Ampersand die from PTI for a long time. So here is the chance to use it.
Here are the challenges for you.

Here is my card for both the challenges.
Mr. & Mrs. Card
I spattered Mr. Huey black and gold on the white cardstock and dried with heat gun. I then die cut the congrats die from MFT on the white cardstock and the negative of the diecut is adhered to the adhesive sheet and added gold glitter. The big Ampersand from PTI is so lovely. I die cut and stamped it. Adhere it in the middle of the “congrats” using foam adhesive. Stamped Mr. and Mrs. I then accented with vellum hearts and gold heart sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Loved the result. This is my favourite colour combination – classic and elegant. Here is the closeup of the card to see all the glitter and shine.

The Cure for Monday Blues Challenge #1

Playing along Taheerah’s new challenge called The Cure for Monday Blues Challenge #1
Here is the photo inspiration of the challenge.
What inspired me of this photo is the watercoloured paper, the hand lettering sentiment and pink, yellow and orange neon colours. So here is my take.
Best wishes card
I have used the neon Mr Hueys from Studio Calico on my round acrylic block to get the watercolour background on the tag. The sentiment is stamped, trimmed and glued. The black and white tag is a pattern paper from Printshop Collection from Studio Calico. For the card front background I have used gelatos and coloured to get the watercolour layers. Finally accented with silver stars.
Best Wishes closeup!
Love the neon colours with the black lettering. What a contrast. And the watercolour background soften the contrast and brings everything together.

Yes! Make a cup of tea or coffee and browse through my projects using the new Cuppa Kits from Studio Calico. I got the Cuppa Card Kit, Cinnamon Add-on Card Kit and Chai Scrapbook Kit. All of them are gorgeous. Here are my projects using the Cuppa Card Kit.
Normally I a very colourful girl especially bright colours but I couldn’t resist the chalkboard and brick wall papers in the kit. So I went for a very neutral black and white card. Love it.

And this pattern paper with frames is gorgeous.  I have heat embossed the images from the stamp set in the kit and also cut out images and sentiment from the pattern paper to embellish the frames.

The final card features the brick wall pattern paper. I love love this paper. Such a neutral background for pop of colour. I also love the use of washi tape to adhere the wall to the card front.
Here are couple of cards using Cinnamon Add-on Card Kit.
I love the stamp set in this kit. The stamp set is by Mamma Elephant. Great stamp set to make your Christmas card this season. Cool and trendy. I have used the pattern paper from the Cuppa Card kit.

Second card using Cinnamon Add-on Card Kit. Great embellishment in the kit. It coordinates with the stamp sets and Christmas theme.
Finally here are my cards using the fun Chai Scrapbook Kit.

Chai Scrapbook Kit features the fun pattern papers and embellishment from Pink Paislee’s Hey Kid Collection. You can make heaps of fun girl and boy cards using this kit. I love the embellishments in this kit.

Happy Birthday Glitter card!

Hey everybody,
Hope you all have a great weekend! I had a great Saturday and Sunday was a washout with storms and wild weather. This freak weather has been a regular for past two months. It is nearly end of September and we are still in winter 😦  Rain, windy and cold. Miserable weather. Cannot wait for sunshine. Hopefully the sun comes out for the school holidays.
Anyway, I am here to share a Birthday card.

I have used MFT’s Happy Birthday die that I have die cut using white card stock which I stamped with Floral Folk Arts Flowers from Wplus9. The die cut stands out against the black background. I have also added some bling to the card using the gold glitter tape and the sequins from Studio Calico. Great birthday card for a girl’s 21st birthday!
I also entering this card for Seize the Birthday “Anything Goes” Birthday challenge. Just discovered the blog. I am always making birthday cards. This challenge blog will be great starting point to making my birthday card collection:) Here is the link to the blog if you want to play along – Seize The Birthday!

Here is my gold card.
\
I have used the gold glitter tape from Studio Calico on white card front to give the stripes. Then heat embossed in gold the sentiment from MFT on black cardstock banner. Quick and easy. I let the gold to shine. So no embellishments. I also did the insides of the card.

Just stamped Happy Birthday inside with a thin strip of gold on the bottom. More white space inside to personalise the card.
Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by!
