Today I am sharing with you a Holiday card using Uniko products.
Season's Greetings card
I have used Stunning Snowflakes stamp set to create my background. This set has snowflakes images in three different sizes. Great for clustering. I have white heat embossed the snowflakes on watercolour paper. Then used Gansai Tambi watercolour to watercolour in layers. The heat embossed snowflakes resist the watercolour and pops out at you. Since the watercolour is in layers, I love the effect of colour pooling around the snowflakes. Once dry I spattered some Mr Huey opaque white. I set this aside to dry while I work on the sentiment.

Season's Greetings closeup//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js

I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #4 on a grey piece of cardstock. Then I trimmed then and cut fish tail on the right side of the strip.
Once the watercoloured panel is dry, I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle largest die to die cut a stitched edge panel. This panel is then adhered on a white card base using some craft foam. The sentiment is then adhered to the top left of the card front using foam adhesive. Finally I embellished with Pretty Pink Posh’s Sparkly Clear sequins.

Hope you like my Holiday card today. As you have may have guessed, today’s sponsor is Uniko!

CAS(E) this Sketch #90 challenge and a farewell!

This is my third post for today. Here is my Random card post and Winnie & Walter post.

I have a new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch challenge blog for you today.

This fab sketch is by Chrissy Larson.
And this is how I interpreted it.
Happy Birthday Gebera vertical
I sat down to make the card this morning. And I had planned something geometric with some inlayed diecut. But I found, Jennifer McGurie’s video today using Peerless watercolour on her blog. So I watched the video and got inspired to try the technique. I am a bit restless today and so I was not up to colouring a smaller image. Hence I choose  these large Gerbera flowers and leaves from Uniko Studio’s Pure Floral Gerbera stamp set.I have white heat embossed them on watercolour paper from Tim Holtz. Then broke open my Peerless water colour and coloured the flowers and leaves. I am intrigued by Jennifer’s use of Perfect Pearl water. I remembered I had one such pot hiding somewhere in my drawer. I found it and used it on my watercoloured flowers and leaves. Just love the shimmer it gives. Subtle and pretty. Thanks for the video, Jennifer. I love your work and your videos always and forever 🙂 Here is a close up!
Happy Birthday card closeup!
For the background, I have used a wooden plank pattern paper from My Mind’s Eye. I mounted the watecoloured panel as per the sketch. I love the contrast the yellow and green against the woodgrain plant background. I wanted a sentiment which is not too big but subtle. So the nearest I could reach for was from MFT’s Typewriter stamp set lol! Finally few of the gorgeous Lemon Drop and Mossy Green sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!

Happy birthday Gebera card

Now to the sad part – saying goodbye! I am finishing my term with CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog as designer. I have been with them since the start of the challenge blog. I love CAS sketches and throughly enjoyed working with Christine and team. Fabulous group of people. Thank you so much for having me, girls 🙂 Now I think there are plenty of designers out there who are talented and worthy of being the designer on the team. So you will see a newbie fab designer on the team from next month. Yay!

Thanks for stopping by today.

CASE Study #202

Hello everybody,

Welcome to the last CASE Study with Shari Carroll. I am sad this is the last card from Shari but it has be super cool to CASE her cards this month. This is the last muse card from Shari.

I LOVE the big bright red flower against the kraft background, especially the shades of the red. Similarly the green coloured flower used as leaves. So my card is based of these inspiration.
Celebrate card
I wanted to make a normal sized card. But the biggest flowers I had in my collection were from Uniko Studio’s Pure Florals. They are not big enough. Shari’s card is smaller, so the single flower is big on the card. I decided to stamp a cluster of flowers and leaves. Using masking technique, I stamped the flowers and leaves in Versafine Black Ink and heat embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder. I already loved the black embossed cluster on the kraft panel. I then used copics to colour the flowers and leaves. I have used three reds and two greens. The flower centre is yellow. Did I tell you that I love colouring on kraft cardstock? But this one was soooo beautiful, that I felt so proud having created it. To add some shimmer, I coloured the flowers using Wink of Stella clear pen. You can see it in the photo below.
Celebrate flat
For the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Fontiment also from Uniko Studio on the banner die cut from Reverse Confetti. I love love the font of this sentiment. I adhere the banner on the top right corner slight off set. I trimmed off the excess. Finally accented with some red enamel dots. The finished panel is adhered to the card based using foam adhesives.
Celebrate close up!

I am pretty proud with how this card turned out. Hope you are inspired. Come and join me in the challenge.

Come and play along with us.

In August CASE Study is celebrating its 4th Anniversary. Yay!

Join me in the fun!

CASE Study #193

Darn! this is the last week with Wida’s muse. I am lucky to play two of her muse as a designer. She is an amazing person and designer. Here is another of Wida’s card  as the muse for this week’s CASE Study Challenge.
Here is my take on the muse.
Birthday card
I never use these soft pastel colours on my own. So I decided to use them and also the layout of the card. But with different stamp sets and sentiment. I love the big Chrysanthemum stamp from Uniko Studio. I stamped it in gold. Then used the stamp set from Background Builder Circles from Uniko Studio to add interest on the background. I also added some gold spatter using Heidi Swapp Colour Wash Gold. The sentiment is from Fontiment Birthday also from Uniko Studio. Then I trimmed the panel and mounted at an angle on the blue card front. Finally add some sequins and some strip of gold glitter strip.

Come and play along with us.

So thank you so much Beverley for everything. All the best for the future with Uniko Studio and congrats on the good news – Twins! Double the trouble and double the cuteness. Big Hugs to you 🙂

Uniko Studio New Release Reveal!

Second post for today. Here is my first post – My Favorite Things Final Day Countdown.
Hello again!
Uniko Studio has three new stamp sets released today.
They are awesome and are called Explosion, Background Builder: Squared and A Gift for You.
 Here they are:

I just received the package and I couldn’t participate in the previews. So I am sharing my cards today and will also share more in the coming days.
Happy Birthday
I love the A Gift for You stamp set especially the sequins in the set. I have stamped the sentiment first, the gold heat embossed the bow and the gift up and below the sentiment. Then stamped the sequins colours around it. I also added a few real sequins. So pretty. Love it. Here is a close up.
Happy Birthday
Next up is another card I made using the same stamp set but I added lots of colours on the background.
A little something just for you
I used Mr. Huey and wet on wet watercolour technique to create my background on the watercolour paper. Once dry, I stamped the present and the sentiment using Archival Black Ink. Again stamped the sequins images in black as well. I then did some stitching around the panel. Simple as that but the silhouette image against the colourful background creates a dramatic impact.
These stamp sets are available for purchase from Uniko Studio Shop right now.
Happy shopping!

Case Study Challenge #176

Hiya!
Yesterday was a super busy day. With school starting Monday getting prepared with books, covering, labelling, getting new uniforms…. the day flew by very very quickly. I just cannot wait for Monday 🙂 Get back into routine. I need MY time.
Today being a bit relaxed, I had time to play CASE Study Challenge #176
This is Donna’s muse card.
What a pretty card? Love that big bold bright flower on the background.
I decided to use Uniko Studio’s Pure Floral – Chrysanthemum stamp set for my card. It has two gorgeous BIG Chrysanthemum flowers in it. One solid flower and other outline flower.
Here is my card for the challenge.
Congratulation card
I decided to colour my flower. So I used watercolour paper and stamped the big outline flower using Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Then I coloured the flower using the same colour distress ink. I coloured in layers to add shading as well as extending the some watercolour outside the flowers by drying with heat gun in between layers. For the sentiment, I stamped the big sentiment from All Occasion Sentiment  #1 using gold ink and heat embossed with Zing gold glitter embossing powder on vellum. Wrapped the vellum around the watercolour paper and glued the paper on the card front. Finally added some gorgeous gold star from Pretty Pink Posh to accent. Here is the close up of the gorgeous gold glitter sentiment. I am learning how to use my camera by reading the manual. Shocking! I am reading the manual!!! If you click on the photo and enlarge it, you can see how sharp the sentiment is. I am so proud of myself 🙂
Congratulation card
Thanks for stopping by!
I have a great news to share later next week. I am enjoying creating using their new goodies. Cannot wait to scream out. 😉

Uniko Studio Challenge #6

Welcome back again. This is my second post for today. Here is my first post.

I have a new challenge from Uniko Studio Blog today.

It is a sketch challenge. And sketch designed by me 🙂
Here is my take on the challenge.
Congratulations on your special day

I picked out the heart shapes from three different stamp set to use on my card. Jolly Christmas, Flower Power #3 and Always & Forever stamp set have heart shapes in various sizes. I then used the colours from Card Concept #1 to stamp the falling hearts. Here are the colours of the Card Concept Challenge #1

Then I have used the flower Power #3 flowers to form a cluster. With sentiments stamped from the same set. Now a days I don’t make a card without sequins. So I have added sequins to accent.

Congratulations closeup!
Come and play along the challenge and win a gift certificate from Uniko Studio. Check out what the rest of the design teams have done with my sketch at Uniko Studio Blog.

Uniko Studio Blog Hop – Accent Essentials-Arrows Revisited

Hello and welcome to Uniko Studio Blog Hop!
If you are coming from Erika’s Blog then you are on the right track.
For this blog hop we are revisiting Accent Essentials – Arrows.
Here is the picture of the stamp set.
AEarrowsProdPic
I have combined this Arrows stamp set with the new Always and Forever stamp set to make my card.
Love you Card
I masked and white heat embossed the arrows crisscross. Then sponged three different pinks from distress inks called Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry in an ombre and finally sponged Fired Brick on the edges. Then spattered some plain water. I then gold heat embossed the Love You heart shape on gold card stock and cut it out to 3D layer it at the center of the arrows. Then stamped the sentiment in black on the sides. Finally accents with gold sequins. Here is a close up!
Love you Card
I then combined Accent Essential Arrows with  All Occassion Sentiment #5 to make my second card.
Always Be Mine card
This is a CAS style card. I stamped the double arrow stamp with various colours towards the left side of the cardfront. Then I added two strips of black card stock. Stamped the big bold sentiment on a strip of the  cardstock, trimmed the edge at an angle and adhered using foam squares. Accented with heart shape enamel dots.
Your next hop is to Nicki’s Blog to see her gorgeous card.

Curtain Crew Inspirational Challenge, Uniko Studio

There is still time to play along…..

Here is another card I made for the challenge.
Congratulations card
I have used Uniko Studio’s Pure Florals – Chrysanthemum stamp set and the 50’s Diner Gelato which  Linnie Blooms provided on my card. I stamped both the outline and solid stamps using gelatos direct on to cardstock. Then brushed with blue gelato. The blue gelatos does not show up very much. It is like a white wash effect. Surprisingly the stamped gelatos did not loose its flower structure. Love the layered gelato stamped flower images. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment. Punched out  tiny half circles from either sides and tied the black twine around the panel into a bow. Accented with sequins.
