Virginia's View Challenge

You are awesome!

Afternoon everyone!
A quick post today.
I wanted to do something relaxing today after hearing a very sad news morning. So I stamped!
I am sharing a card which is 100% stamped for Virginia View’s Challenge.
This is my card.
I used Big Scripty Greetings stamp set from Simon Says Stamp to stamp my background with black ink at a diagonal. For the focal point I have stamped and hand cut the flowers and leaves from Friendly Flowers stamp set also from Simon Says Stamp. I then clustered and adhered them on the card front using foam adhesives. I also brushed Wink of Stella clear pen on the flowers from some shimmer. Finally embellished with Pretty Pink Posh’s Sparkly Clear sequins.
I did not add any more sentiment as I have stamped the background with the sentiment. Simple and quick to make and the bold background stamping adds a punch.
Thanks for stopping by!

Tag You’re It Challenge #23

Hello friends,
I have a tag share for you today. This tag I made for Tag You’re It Challenge #23
Here is the inspiration tag for the challenge.
This is Tracey’s tags. So adorable. What inspired me is the banner tag and the red die cut element on the tags. So keeping those in mind, here is my take on the challenge.
Thank ful tag
The banner die cut is from Pretty Pink Posh’s Stitched Banner Duo die set. I die cut one using vellum cardstock and one using white cardstock. The bird die is called Flight of Fancy from Penny Black. I die cut three using white cardstock, then coloured with three different shades of red Copic markers. I  used R32, R24 and R37. Hex chart was very useful to pick the colours. I then glued them slightly offset to each other. Love the ombre of birds here. This ombre cluster is adhered to the vellum cardstock using foam adhesive for dimension. The sentiment is from Pretty Petals stamp set from Penny Black. I simply stamped in black ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I layered the two banner die cuts, punched couple of holes and threaded some black twine. Finally the birdies received some shimmer using Wink of Stella pen.
Thankful tag1
I am also submitting this tag for Virginia’s View Ombre Challenge.
Here are the two Penny Black products I have used to make my tags.

Inside the shaker, I have used Blush Pink, Pink Peonies 4mm sequins and Silver Shimmer beads from Pretty Pink Posh. I put the TV on the stand on the wall using stamps from To Thine Own Shelf stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

Warm Winter Wishes – A distressed Christmas card

If you are looking for PC magazine blog hop, CLICK HERE!
Hello folks,
Today I am sharing a Christmas card for Virginia’s View Challenge #10  – All Things Distressed.
I love distressing technique but I rarely use the technique except if you consider  using distress markers on my cards lol! It is not my style but I have given the technique a go 🙂
Here is my card for the challenge.
Warm Winter Wishes1
I have used kraft cardstock as my base and for the panel. The stamp set I have used on my card is called Gleeful from Penny Black.
gleeful picture
I stamped the row of houses, the girl with the dog on the sledge and the kids with dog on the sledge image on the kraft panel and white heat embossed the images. I love colouring on kraft cardstock. So I went ahead and coloured the images using distress markers. I also added some distress markers to ground the images. I stamped and heat embossed the image at three levels to give some depth.

I then trimmed the panel, sponged the edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink, distressed the edges of the panel using scissors. Then used white gel pen to draw faux stitching detail. On the card base, I sponged the edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink and then drew border lines using white gel pen. I then curled the edges on the panel and adhered on the card front using foam adhesives. The sentiment is from Whooo’s Wishes stamp set also from Penny Black which I have white heat embossed on the kraft cardstock, trimmed and cut the fish tail banner, sponged the edges with frayed Burlap distress ink before adhering to the card using foam adhesives. I added Wink of Stella on a few images.
I am so happy with how this card turned out. The colours just pop out with the white embossing. This is one of my favourite Christmas cards this season 🙂
